It's not total confusion or anything, considering those monsters seem to go after just about anyone here.. but they like this guy more for some reason? He can't really see any reason why - maybe if the other was wounded, those monsters seem like the type to go after easy prey, but Ryuuga looks like he's doing fine enough.
Maybe the other guy is just imagining it. That seems like a much more likely explanation to Shinpachi, since he hasn't experienced an abnormal amount of monster attacks himself. ]
