Where: A large booth at the CERES Academy cultural festival
What: Rise's holding a special event to help bring people together at the cultural festival! This may be chaotic

[The cultural festival at the school has been in full-on planning mode for a few weeks. Rise is no exception to the planning and included in the flyers that have gone up is a notice printed on bright pink paper and bold lettering for a very special event.

The booth itself has been set up with a small cluster of tables to accommodate for the amount of people who have been signed up and even for a few last-minute sign-ups. The tables themselves have been decorated with special candles and a tray containing two bowls, two spoons, and a a tray with all the ingredients needed for an ice cream sundae.

At the front of the booth is a collection of heart-shaped name tags with all of the names of each individual whose signed up, along with a number attached. Rise will smile at each person, handing both the name tag and a small envelope to them with instructions not to open it until she says so.

It’s only when everyone has arrived and is crowded inside the booth that she pulls out a megaphone (and really, who gave her that?) and she turns it on.]

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Cerealia School Speed-Matching event! Meeting people can be really hard here, but don’t worry, we’re making it easy! You’ll see that the tables all have numbers assigned to them. On my count, open your envelopes and see who you’re starting with. When the bell rings, switch partners! Seems pretty simple, huh?

[Nobody gets to get a say in this apparently, but they may see one Yu Narukami who’s sitting on the table behind Rise just watching everyone casual as can be. Why is he wearing glasses? Who knows.]

Okie dokie! Let’s get this show on the road! On your mark…get set…open!

[Hope you’re ready, colonists. Inside each envelope is a starter number for the first match, and also a list of starter questions for asking people about themselves. Some people have lists corresponding with the speed dating route, while others are for the “friends only” route. But wait…what’s that? Some of those lists are crosswired? Your character would try to mingle with everybody and flirt anyway? Well hey. At least people will be talking and mingling.

Oh, and don’t mind the people who may wander in and out of the event. Rise will try to moderator the event to her best ability but hey, she’s pretty social herself. Some people are bound to slip in and out under her watch. Have fun! And remember, beware of the bell! (Or Rise announcing "SWITCH" in a loud voice via megaphone, same thing.)]

[This is Weiss. Monster hunter in training and heiress to one of the richest companies in her world. She's a concert pianist and singer, has practiced ballet, figure skating, and fencing, all while maintaining one of the highest grade point averages in her class. She's a genius, an athlete, and a fashionista.

And she very much does not want to be here.

This is what happens when your friends sign you up for Speed Dating behind your back. She's not sure why she even agreed to come. So she'll sit at her table with her arms crossed and not even pretend she's interested in you.

[ Thanks Weiss. What a way to make someone feel welcomed, but fortunately for her this guy here is able to allow it to roll over his back like it wasn't a huge deal. He'll occupy himself with the ice cream set before them. It would be pretty much a shame to let it go to waste while this was happening.

Though...waiting for the time to be called is kind of...boring. Giorno's not the most sociable person but at least he should try. So he'll fiddle with his envelope between bites of ice cream to see if at least the question he was given would be a good ice breaker:

"Have you ever seen a ghost?"

...well it's certainly something. Time to take this into his own hands...somewhat. ]

It's understandable. [ He'll look away and eye the questions that they were given. ] Perhaps you could still enjoy this even if this was a prank by your friends.

[ Hey, what's it like to put two girls who don't actually want to be here together! Probably something really great? Chie herself is dressed in a brightly colored green dress that feels far too girly on her, and there's even a cute little barrette in her hair. Clearly she has no ability to turn down Rise and Yu...

Yet here she is, looking at the number she was given, and then up at Weiss. Ah, awkward. But... it's not weird right? ...She really hopes the other girl doesn't say it's weird! ]

S-Sorry... I guess I got paired with you. [ She even shows Weiss the number to prove it. ]I-I'm Chie, by the way.

[ This is going swimmingly... not. Though she has to admit the other girl looks pretty cool.. ]

[And she's coming up with some way to "thank" them for it.]

Really?! You've got friends like that too, huh?

[ Well, Chie isn't so mad at Rise, because she's never been good at being mad at anyone who's not a boy. But she could understand! ]

It's nice to meet you, Weiss. [ She bows her head a little, being polite but suddenly finds... she doesn't know what else to say!! ]

D-Do you... come here often? [ Shoot her now please. ]

No. I don't. Not willingly, at least.

[ Look she's not good at this! ]

Y-Yeah me either... [ Chie just fiddles awkwardly with the hem of her dress. She's so not used to stuff like this. Looking girly. It looks weird on her doesn't it, she thinks. ]

So, where are you from? [ She asks, reading off a card. ]

[ At least Weiss doesn't have to worry about conversation being an irritation. Lucy's perfectly content to ignore her and busy herself with the sundae ingredients. She's not about to let free ice cream just sit there and turn into a goopy mess. One has to wonder if she even realizes Weiss is there at all, although occasionally her eyes will flick over in her direction. ]

It'll melt.

[Oh, so this one can talk. So far all the others have at least tried to talk to her. Of course the first thing she says is about the ice cream.]

[ She makes a vague waving motion to the other sundae bowl on the table. ]

If you leave it alone, it'll melt. Might get on your dress.

[Well, that's actually a pretty good point. She takes a dollop of hot chocolate and cautiously pours it over her ice cream.]

This entire thing is terrible. Might as well enjoy the one good thing if you're forced to stay.

[ She knows she's certainly stuck with it until she can reasonably sneak away. Or until Nyuu gets bored. Knowing her luck, she'll walk right out and her other self will wake up and take her right back in. Tends to throw a wrench in getaway plans. ]
