[closed-ish] Signs of love overshadowed by dreams

What: Rise's holding a special event to help bring people together at the cultural festival! This may be chaotic

[The cultural festival at the school has been in full-on planning mode for a few weeks. Rise is no exception to the planning and included in the flyers that have gone up is a notice printed on bright pink paper and bold lettering for a very special event.

The booth itself has been set up with a small cluster of tables to accommodate for the amount of people who have been signed up and even for a few last-minute sign-ups. The tables themselves have been decorated with special candles and a tray containing two bowls, two spoons, and a a tray with all the ingredients needed for an ice cream sundae.

At the front of the booth is a collection of heart-shaped name tags with all of the names of each individual whose signed up, along with a number attached. Rise will smile at each person, handing both the name tag and a small envelope to them with instructions not to open it until she says so.

It’s only when everyone has arrived and is crowded inside the booth that she pulls out a megaphone (and really, who gave her that?) and she turns it on.]

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Cerealia School Speed-Matching event! Meeting people can be really hard here, but don’t worry, we’re making it easy! You’ll see that the tables all have numbers assigned to them. On my count, open your envelopes and see who you’re starting with. When the bell rings, switch partners! Seems pretty simple, huh?

[Nobody gets to get a say in this apparently, but they may see one Yu Narukami who’s sitting on the table behind Rise just watching everyone casual as can be. Why is he wearing glasses? Who knows.]

Okie dokie! Let’s get this show on the road! On your mark…get set…open!

[Hope you’re ready, colonists. Inside each envelope is a starter number for the first match, and also a list of starter questions for asking people about themselves. Some people have lists corresponding with the speed dating route, while others are for the “friends only” route. But wait…what’s that? Some of those lists are crosswired? Your character would try to mingle with everybody and flirt anyway? Well hey. At least people will be talking and mingling.

Oh, and don’t mind the people who may wander in and out of the event. Rise will try to moderator the event to her best ability but hey, she’s pretty social herself. Some people are bound to slip in and out under her watch. Have fun! And remember, beware of the bell! (Or Rise announcing "SWITCH" in a loud voice via megaphone, same thing.)]

[He...asked about Mamoru. Talk about opening a can of worms. Usagi will go on forever about him and her friends if someone lets her. Which is not hard to figure, the way her face all but lights up when he asks.]

Ah, Mamo-chan is my boyfriend! He's older, but he's really smart. And handsome and brave and....

[And feel free to butt in at any time because otherwise you could be here a while, Lee.....]

[But there's a problem with that.

Because Lee looks just as starry-eyed.]

Ah!!! Usagi-san, that sounds so beautiful! Please, do not hesitate to tell me about him and about your hearfelt relationsip!! Tell me every last detail!

[Lee no. Don't open yourself to this. You'll be here forever....

But she does. Telling him all about their initial meeting when she tried to throw her test away up until the last she recalls once they freed him from the Dark Kingdom. She just. Leaves out the whole, other identities factor. Sailor Moon, Serenity, Endymion, Tuxedo Mask.

Even if that might seem like half the story is missing. Which, without those details it kind of is. But she's not just yet ready to tell everyone about it.]

[It's too late. Lee is Here for this. He's invested in this story and hangs onto every word, cheering on every victory and mourning every sorrow. He digs into his ice cream while shedding a torrent of tears that alternate between those of happiness and those of sorrow. He's much like a bowlcutted housewife hanging onto every word of his favorite soap opera.

The missing details don't seem too off to Lee - no, the mystery just adds to the intrigue. And whenever Usagi seems to finish, Lee pounds his fists on the table, his cheeks and mouth full of tears and ice cream, respectively.]

That... that was such a beautiful story! I cannot believe that a love so beautiful truly exists!!

[If she had told the whole thing, he'd probably only be more endeared to her romance with Mamoru.....]

Of course it does! I mean. It might be rare, perhaps, but they totally exist!

[Enough that they found each other again in their reincarnated lives too. Where they could actually be together, where it wasn't forbidden, sans some perhaps taking issue with their age gap. No warring kingdoms, no sneaking around behind everyone's backs. No attempts to deny their feelings for each other out of duty for their kingdoms. Just Usagi and Mamoru.

Usagi for her part, is merely happy he seems to have enjoyed the story, even if he's in tears as a result.]

What about you, Lee-san? Anyone special for you here or back home?

[He nods quickly.]

I am sorry that I doubted you, Usagi-san! I will believe in your love until my dying day! And I will always root for you!!

[He wipes some tears as he contemplates her question, some red coloring his cheeks.]

Ah... Currently, I would be considered to be 'single'! I have felt the bittersweet yearning of one's youth in the past, for someone who is very special from my home. But... she is not hear anymore. [A hand hovers over his chest uncertainly.] And... and now I am unsure of my heart's path!

And I'll root for you too! Maybe your special girl will come here too! Or you'll find someone else, there's a lot of people here! There might be one you find you like, right? That's what this whole dating this is supposed to be for!

[Not that Usagi is exactly an expert, but she probably has more idea than some on the matter, at least. But she does want to reassure him, encourage him. Because Lee deserves to be happy too!]

[He smiles bashfully.]

Thank you, Usagi-san! With the blessing of someone who has found such an incredible love... I feel that I cannot fail!!

[No, Usagi won't miss a chance to promote her senshi friends. It's part of why she's been going around like this, exploring, telling everyone about Rei and Minako's fortune telling. Her way of contributing, sort of.]

[Because she's pretty sure that's what is supposed to happen now, right? So she gives a smile and a wave as they then need to regroup.]
