It's true that being around so many people hasn't been helping, but he's not sure if being around Otome is going to help him much more. He trusts her...that's the problem, isn't it? Even trusting her, there's no guarantee that it's safe (but it's been months now, and all she's ever done is look out for his well-being. She's never asked him for anything, not once) and...even after hesitating, he knows that he's going to end up agreeing.
And maybe there's a part of him that's a little relieved to have someone else take charge when he's as unnerved as he is by this, especially when it's someone like Otome.]
