[open]

Who: Rideaux ([personal profile] pr159) and his robo-clone, Milla ([personal profile] souperb), and open to anyone else!
When: 06/27 - 06/30
Where: Shopping District, then just generally Around
What: It's all fun and games until your robot steals your watch and ruins your life.
Rating/Warning: Violence, mentions of illness, probably other shit because it's Rideaux

A. OPEN; 6/27

[ One of the many things Rideaux's robot has gathered about him by now is that he places a lot of value on fashionable clothing. It's identified some characteristics that are common to several garments in his closet -- the colors red and black, feathers, and leather details.

And that is why it is sifting through the racks at a lingerie store right now, looking at any red or black piece with marabou trim. This is a good way to convince everyone that it's the real deal, right? ]

B. OPEN; 6/30

[ For almost twenty years now, Rideaux's default reaction to any unwanted occurrence has been anger. He hasn't cried since he was ten, and while his baseline anxiety level has been heightened ever since he first heard the term "soul bridge", he can count on one hand the number of times he's experienced any kind of real fear or panic -- even the worst of the countless life-threatening situations in which he'd found himself had rarely made him feel anything beyond a surge of adrenaline.

Which is why it seems fucking ridiculous that the closest he's come to that feeling in years -- heart racing, in a cold sweat and sick to his stomach -- was brought on by some bullshit robot running off with his pocketwatch.

Even aside from being the source of most of his power, though (which has always been simultaneously a blessing and a curse), that watch is the one singular item he's been able to hold onto for his entire life. It was his before he was even born; it was there under his pillow during all his months in the hospital, and it had been kept safe in his pocket even after he'd lost his family and home and everything else imaginable. It's so much a part of him that, perhaps counterintuitively, he's never considered it as an object of sentimental (god, he hates that word) value.

So here he is, dashing through the street in search of a robot that looks just like him until he breaks down into a violent fit of coughing and has to reach out for the wall of a building to steady himself and catch his breath.

And if you're in between him and that wall, he'll shove you aside without a second thought. ]

Move, damn it-!

C. CLOSED to Milla; 6/30

[ Somehow he hadn't expected the robot (if it can even be called that anymore) to actually be able to use his power, and the idea that he might lose to it in a fight was one that he hadn't seriously considered. He'd nearly defeated Ludger and three of his friends back at Nia Khera without even transforming, after all, so a one-on-one fight should have been nothing.

He hadn't expected a one-on-one fight against a chromatus user, though; and taking on one with a half-chromatus transformation and all of his own physical enhancements was much different than it had been fighting against Ludger's quarter-transformation, even if it was about equal to where Ludger had been in terms of experience and skill.

Now the robot is leering down at its former master after succeeding in kicking him to the ground -- maybe most of the other robots here aren't too effective in their murder attempts, but this one really did learn cruelty and aggression from the best. ]

Is this really all you're capable of? You're making us both look bad, you know.
