Who:
specialization & open.
When: IC 7/1-7, OOC 5/2-14
Where: Different places around the colony.
What: Post robots, going back to normal life. Even if it involves attempted murder and shady business deals half the time.
Rating/Warning: Slim chance of violence.

[realistically, he spends a good portion of time here when he doesn't have other things to be doing. and it's convenient to be able to come over and spend hours in the mandated peace. he's definitely a regular here, which is why he should be fully aware of the unspoken rule that you shouldn't sit down in the aisle as you become a tripping hazard in the fiction section. the question is, does he entirely care about that? no. he will remain a tripping hazard, thank you very much.
alternately, there will be times that someone at least wants to look at whatever book you're aiming for, where your hands might touch as you're reaching for the same one. in that case, he's at least apologetic, pulling back with a small smile.]
Were you looking for that one?

[so, Chrollo's going about his usual day, doing usual human things. maybe leaving after locking up at work, maybe going to get food, maybe taking an idle stroll. the possibilities are endless, truly. and all the while, he has his guard up, something that hasn't been let down in weeks.
here's the thing, though. where you are, whether it's just standing close by or perhaps you entered into some kind of conversation with him over something mundane, he's going to pause, turn to you, and ask something.]
Would you mind moving to the side a little bit? A few steps is enough.
[there is no reason given for this...yet. only a polite tone and expression. because it wouldn't do to cause alarm by openly saying that there is a sniper around, and that they'll get shot if they don't move. as much as it isn't his problem if people get injured, if someone dies, that won't end well for his sort-of friend.]
[c - sundown - pleasure district]
[there are tasks he's going to have to spend days working at to get the sort of connections he wants, and he doesn't mind. it's easier than the sort of work he's accustomed to - transport, being a liaison, sending a few messages...it's simple work for these groups. all he needs is patience to gain trust and then it'll all be at his fingertips. and Chrollo's used to waiting to gain the right tool for success, letting it come closer until he can grasp it and not let go. this is, in a sense, exactly the same thing.
but he doesn't end up hanging around this place for fun. despite his new responsibilities, he hasn't shirked from his second type of employment, and to those that find themselves in need of a thief, there are ways to contact him privately. arrangements are be made to discuss matters before he agrees to a job. and he's the one that sets the meeting place while keeping a sharp eye out for a client.
oh, and be on time. he doesn't like being stood up.]

[he says this, and yet he lets a moment pass. with the silence, he assumes Zero's noticed the change and decided against firing the shot. pity. seeing Togami's reaction might have been interesting, but Zero won't waste bullets.
instead of remarking on that, he glances in a location that's definitely not where Zero's going to be - he won't give him up, that would spoil the challenge - and then looks back to Togami. it's normal, isn't it, to be coming back with library books and then vaguely imply something's wrong? if it's not, oh well. (he knows it's not.)]
It's been some time.
[unlike Togami, Chrollo doesn't have a problem approaching him as an acquaintance.]

...Yes, I suppose so. The influx of robots kept everything hectic enough.

[not entirely serious about that - it had been an interesting enough experiment, even if it went wrong. he had taken care of it. what was the problem then with it? that there were flaws in the design?]

[and by funny he means things like trying to smother him in his sleep. that had just been annoying.]

Everything that piece of scrap metal did was a joke.
[ Also, there was that period where it asked a bunch of annoying questions constantly, which was at least as bad. ]

I'd suggest we change locations before going on any further, if that's not a problem with you. This isn't the...most ideal place.
[sorry sniper bro. not now.]
