Unfortunately, even though he wouldn't be adverse to his Madougu companion to pipe up, unless they were looking for someone specific to clamp down on, he wasn't going to be much help.

He's just about as glad as everyone else when the tunnel eventually leads them to what looks to be the basement floor of a building. He's still on-guard, though, and his red-and-black sheathed sword is already in his off-hand. Never leave home without your Makaiken, kids.
