There were few people who would be able to repair Soul Metal in the first place back home.
Normally, the enchanted metal would be burning the flesh off of whatever touched it, but considering that the dinosaur in question was mechanical and not organic, well... not so much. He's swinging down with his free arm to slam on top of its head while it's occupied with his arm and Shigeru's attack, though - hoping that it loosens its grip before his arm is broken in the process.]
