[It's Rei's turn to remain quiet, and then to nod. It's actually somewhat nice, sitting here with someone who doesn't just want to talk all the time. That's always been hard for her, and it was only really here that she'd found people besides Ami like that.]
Izanami-no-Mikoto, the Goddess of Death. Yes. I've heard that story from...Yosuke. The one here before you. [Leaning backwards, Rei rests on her hands, face turned skyward to scan the false clouds a little. Thinking about that always made her wonder why none of those spirits had ever helped or hindered them. Others sure had, but not the Shinto beings. She's grateful for that. Pharaoh 90 and the other dark gods that'd come through had been enough without forcing her to battle against the spirits she'd grown up with.]
I appreciate you saying so, Yu-kun, and I feel the same way about you and your friends. It's different, I feel, talking with someone who's actually stood up to gods and monsters. [She allows herself a wan smile, because she knows he's been through something like this. Having to keep up a false front, the appearance of having a normal teenage life while gearing up to fight supernatural menaces.] My friends and I have done that more than we've done anything normal for the last five years. We've stopped five apocalypses and it wasn't until here that any of us could even really talk about it. People back home would think I've just read one too many Lovecraft novels. It's nice, knowing someone can relate even a little bit.
