[ He's trying to make light of it despite the fact they both know that's not entirely possible. Yosuke also knows he hasn't quite set the precedent for being the most understanding in situations like this, but he's not ready to admit it. Of course, when Yu say's there's "one more thing" they need to talk about, Yosuke goes rigid immediately.

The pause that settles between them makes Yosuke mentally hit himself. ]

[ Which is decidedly devoid of the solid but warm reassurance he usually has in regards to Yu. It's not unkind, but it is still uncertain. He does offer a smile. ]
