[ Zero suddenly stills, his words dying his mouth as they're transported to another place, another time. The gardens are wiped away and the two are transported into a cozy room where a young silver-haired boy sits alone in the bed while another boy, identical in look and stature comes to a stop as a question floats in the air: "Why were we born separately?"
The young Zero is left speechless by his brother's thoughts and moments later he's throwing himself at Ichiru's mercy holding him tightly in his small arms. The scene moves forward and the two lay in bed together watching each other from across the divide of their pillows as Zero holds Ichiru with a protective arm around him while his thoughts swirl in a sea of voiceless guilt and remorse. His thoughts from long ago echo through the memory giving voice to words he'd always kept from Ichiru. Yet, in the midst of his guilt Ichiru was there for him, encouraging him.
