Event Stuff [Open]

What: Taichi's misadventures with his spirit dove, plus ViViD adventures afterwards.

A. Even With These Unreliable Wings

[On one of the early days of the event, Taichi can be found sitting on a bench in the gardens. Some of the recent happenings have been troubling him... between seeing those hallucinations of his mom, and now being followed around by some sort of an injured bird.

He hasn't found a way to take care of it, which is very concerning. But he's managed to acquire some birdfeed, and now he scatters it on the ground near the bench in hopes that the bird will take to it. No luck yet, and Taichi gives a tired sigh.]

[If there's one thing you know about Taichi, even if you don't know him that well, it's that he loves him some soccer. And he's great at it, too! He's only been in the city for about a month and a half, but he's likely kicked many a butt at soccer games. Maybe you've played with him at some point, or maybe you've just watched one of his games.

But today's different. On one of the latter days of the event, by the park or school, someone - either your character or just some random person - has rolled a soccer ball along the ground towards him. Rather than doing anything to it, he just leans over and stares at it as if it's an alien object. His spirit animal is hopping along right behind him as he does so.]

C. I'm sure we can fly

[The event has passed, and the result has been unsettling for Taichi. He's left the cybuddy in his room, and instead he's opted to take his mind off of things with some ViViD. So you can find him at the ViViD Center, accompanied by one small dinosaur. The two of them are ready to start a game, but Taichi still spares a smirk towards however's nearby.]

[For the past couple of days, Takeru was getting restless. After his little confrontation with Yamato, he felt like a bad brother. For one thing, he didn't even remember him and it made the poor boy feel bad.

Granted, Cerealia always had a habit of messing around with people but this was different. If his brother wasn't lying then that must mean he needed to something about it right?

However, when he saw a soccer ball roll straight to him, he had a bright smile on his face!]

Taichi-san! [He shouted before kicking said ball toward him! Although, as the ball rolled to the older boy, Takeru quickly noticed something was a miss.] Um...Taichi-san?

[There was an raised eyebrow at Taichi and his... dinosaur. Angelo wasn't sure what to make of either of them, though he had a feeling they were something like Takeru and his pet. So of course why not amuse the kid after everything that's been happening.]

What did you and your little friend there have planned?

[Molly's glad that the latest weird has passed. That Gert's not haunting her any more. At least not literally. So she wants to distract herself and ViVID seems like the obvious choice. Especially when she comes across the boy from the carnival.]

Sure! I think it's the wrong time for it to get all weird on us.

[Taichi at least looks up towards Takeru with a bright smile when he sees him there, trying to ignore that odd ball's existence as he does so.]

Oh... Hey, Takeru! How's it going?

[The dinosaur chimes in first, excitedly.]

An adventure! A magical one!

[Taichi then tries to motion for the dinosaur to calm down, while smirking confidently.]

...Agumon took the words right out of my mouth. But he's right. We want an adventure! You up for it?

[Taichi nods along at that.]

Right! Let's take advantage of it while we can! It's actually fun when it's not being weird. [And Agumon nods along in agreement.]

A magical adventure? I'm always up for those.

[He's not even that surprised by the dinosaur talking, he's becoming used to it.]

Hopefully you two can keep up with me on this adventure, especially since I happen to be a magic user myself.

[In that moment, Takeru just looked back at the ball and then back at Taichi. Was he missing something?]

Good! But is everything okay, Taichi-san? You're not sick are you?

It's basically the best video game ever. What kind of scenario were you getting ready for?

Sick! No, no way! I'm feeling fine! [He says with nervous laughter.] Look, see?

[He starts hopping up and down to try to prove it! And he hopes that the weird ball is forgotten about.]

Some kind of a big adventure!

With wizards, and magic!

[Both of them look really impressed by that claim.]

Really? Awesome! ...You've gotta show us what you can do!

[He sounds very smug now and proud of himself.]

Get that ViViD started and I'll show you.

[And here, Takeru wasn't so sure. In fact, the more Taichi acted that way, the more he got a little suspicious!]

Are you sure? Because you're acting really weird, Taichi-san! Is there something wrong with the ball?

[Molly grins]

Those are my favourite! VIViD wizarding is so much fun.

What? N-nothing's wrong at all! [He looks down at the ball.] The... the ball's... it looks perfectly fine to me!

Alright, let's do it! Come on, Agumon!

[And so they go through the activation process, and soon Taichi and Agumon are now in a field in some sort of medeval environment.] Great, it worked!

I thought you might see it our way! So, wanna come along?

[Angelo looks around the setting after following them in and huh, it reminds him a lot of home. Not that it's giving him any nostalgia or anything, but it's a nice reminder.]

Hmm. Reminds me a bit of home. It shouldn't be difficult traversing through this.

[Hmmmmm! This just screams oddly suspicious to the 7 year old.]

If you say so but...do you want to play a quick game of soccer? I wouldn't mind!

[...That name doesn't ring a bell, but it feels like he's expected to know it. So Taichi crosses his arms and tries to casually deflect the question.]

Oi, Takeru. Why don't we try playing something different for a change?

[Taichi looks more surprised.]

What?! You really live in a place this?

I can't wait to see real magic! [Agumon exclaims with childlike glee.]

[Now that definitely made Takeru worried by the second!]

We can but I thought you liked playing this game!

I do? [He ponders that and quickly tries to wave it off.] Of course I do! But I feel like playing something else this time.

[...........]

Of course you do! You love to play it all the time and it's just really weird that you want to play something else! And I know you're really good at playing soccer too!

That- that doesn't mean I want to play it all the time, right? Soc- soccer... It can wait! [Some more nervous laughter.]

[He turns around to look at the two grinning.]

I do. And you want to see real magic? Well, step back then because I'm about to show you.

[He positions and readies himself looking to a cast a spell, but makes sure Taichi and Agumon are at a safe distance before he does so.]

[There are not enough dots in the world for Takeru. Although, it did take a while for the boy to figure out what's wrong, that just settled it.

There was no way Taichi didn't know how to say his most favorite sport in the world]

Taichi-san, you do know what soccer is, don't you?

[They both quickly look excited and scamper back!]

Okay! Show us something really cool!

[...]

Of- of course I do. Look!

[He picks up the soccer ball and... starts dribbling it like a basketball.]

It's soccer time!!

[With one wave of his hand, he makes three smallish tornadoes appear to swirl around before disappearing. Then Angelo pulls out his bow to make a cross of light in front of him with one of his arrows before shooting said arrow through it into the air, this causes a massive downpour of lights to come falling down from the sky.]

Pretty impressive, right?

[ . . . . . . ]

But that's now how you play soccer at all! You kick with your feet, you don't bounce it with your hands! That's how you play basketball!

[Yup, something really really serious was going on right now and Takeru didn't like it one bit!

Because seriously? Taichi not knowing how to play soccer? What was even going on anymore?!]

I - I know that! [He drops the ball to the ground abruptly with a nervous laugh.]

It's - I'm just joking with you!

...

...So, what is soccer anyway...?

[There are not enough dots in the world for this. But as soon as Takeru got the ball, he gave a smile before kicking the ball toward him.]

It's a game! It's kind of like American football expect that you have to kick with your feet and get it to the other side! Do you want me to show you, I can teach you how play it again!

...Oh! Really? That sounds pretty fun! Sure, Takeru, give me a demonstration!

[They both look in awe at the displays of power. Sure, they know some digimon with similar powers, but maybe it's seeing another human do it that makes it so cool.]

That was really cool!

Right! How did you learn all that magic?!

[They won't be alone for long, however, as some goblin bandits start to advance on the source of that little light show.]

Okay then!

[As the ball slowly rolled toward Taichi, he gave a nod] Now you kick the ball back to me! That's how you play soccer! It's really easy!

That doesn't sound hard at all...

[He frowns as the ball approaches and then he tries to kick it. Luckily, even if his mind doesn't remember, his muscles do, and the ball is sent flying away.]

Whoa!!

[With the ball flying straight away, Takeru wasted no time in going toward it!]

See, Taichi-san, it's really easy! I knew you could still play it! I don't even think you need any practice at all!

I guess it is pretty easy! [Taichi scratches at his chin sheepishly.]

And fun!

[While the boy was trying his best to look for the ball, he couldn't help but wonder just where it went]

By the way, Taichi-san, do you know where it went? I don't think I see it anywhere!

[No seirously, where did it go??]

[He spies the goblin bandits and readies his bow as they're advancing on the trio.]

I was born with natural talents, so it's not something I had to learn. however I am seeing some friends coming along as well, we might want to take care of them.

It must have rolled really far... this way! [He runs forward into an alleyway to try to check!]

That's too cool... [He mutters, and then he looks up towards the goblins as his new friend prepares for action.]

Whoa! We've got trouble already! Hey, now check out what Agumon can do!

[Agumon has a moment of stage fright before he advances towards the goblins.]

Baby Flame! [And he spits a fireball right at one of them!]

Oh so your little friend to spit fire huh? I'll see what else he can do while we fight.

[He takes out his bow again and starts shooting multiple arrows at the horde approaching them faster.]
