Satisfied -- it really had gotten faster -- he snaps it back into bow form, then raises the bow to test the bowstring, pulling it taut as if to aim an imaginary arrow. It'll need a test run on an actual target range to really check if its firing speed really has improved, but just from a cursory look at it, he can tell it's in better condition than before.
He lowers the bow, and turns back to Darin. He looks happy, albeit a little distracted compared to his usual self.]
