Well, if the legends are true...which, for the sake of this conversation they are, we had less than a year before the big lunar eclipse that was supposed to mark the deadline. And so far, while there have been a few notable wars throughout history, we haven't managed to wipe ourselves out.

But...as we've gotten closer to the big deadline more and more things have been happening. For one thing, the church that spreads the word of this crazy prophecy is becoming more and more like a cult the closer we get. Tensions between nations are high since everyone is building up military might under the guise of 'being prepared for the worst' but could just as easily turn around and point them at the nearest country that disagrees with them...
