What: The past few weeks and the disappearance of a friend have been rough on Yusuke, so he's taking his frustration out in the best way he knows how-- punching things. Unfortunately, with CERES machinery on the fritz, it seems like there's new (and not entirely willing) challengers being glitched into his level of Ultra Alley Brawlers...
Rating/Warning: RATED Y FOR YUSUKE aka heavy chances of violence, bad language, blood, and everything else that comes with sticking a hot-blooded shonen protagonist in a fighting game-- also potential embarrassing outfits

[So you may be minding your own business, happily playing some innocent ViViD game such as Cybuddy Raiser or Gourmet Mother, or you're in the middle of labor-intensive RPG-style session, about to finally hit that desired stat level and take on the regional boss. Or you may even just be hanging around the ViViD Center, taking a break from the energy draining effects of the machines before jumping back into the fray again.

Suddenly, the area around you shifts and pixelates, stuttering and glitching for a moment or two, before it corrects itself, and-- wait a moment. This wasn't where you were before! Instead, you're looking out at one of these slightly grainy surroundings, while the dulcet sounds of this beautiful song blares all around you. Thankfully, your attire remains the same-- unless you're one of the unfortunate few whom the game had decided needed an outfit adjustment. But it's okay! High-cut leotards are great for kicking!

Like a large, blinking sign, the words A NEW CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED flashes above your head, before vanishing into thin air, replaced by a time slowly counting down from 90. Before you can really dwell on what those words mean, however, the loud sound of pounding feet rushes in your direction, a young man in this get-up charging towards you, fist cocked and ready to fight.

... you may want to do something about that.]

[tl;dr, welcome to the not!Street Fighter simulator! It's up to you if you want your character to be glitched into a weird fighter-game outfit, keep their normal attire, or change into some alt outfit from canon! If your character isn't a fighter, that's okay! There's handicaps in place, and, given how ViViD likes to mess with things, your character can easily be super strong or super weak given how you want the interactions to go! There's potential for final boss fights and bonus modes (as well as time-up 'draws'), so go wild! If you want to hash anything out or plot, hit me up at Urameshi!]

[Bro. Buddy. Pal. She still has enough juice left in her for another five minutes. Does he want to go. Does he want to meet her at the pit. Because half-muttering or not, her hearing is still sharp enough to hear him say that.]

[Clearly Yusuke is the best role model. CLEARLY.

It was interesting to see Takeru be so cocky about something, but Yusuke wasn't entirely sure if that was just him being excited over finally showing off his digi-friend, or if it was a new trait he grew into. There's a roll of his shoulder as he smirks back to his younger companion, readying himself for their new opponents.]

We won't find out until we fight these guys, right? [And he holds up a finger, briefly glowing blue, before it flickers back out.] And it's not like I'm playing by the rules either.

[As if on cue, two goons materialize in front of them, waiting for just a moment before charging in to fight.]

[The sword at Ryuuga's side wasn't unnoticed, and Yusuke had to give him some props for not bringing it into play already. It probably would have been easier to cut him down than duke it out one on one, but maybe this was a show of faith on his part... or so he assumed, anyway.

But after his kick strikes true, he does follow up into a combo, pivoting on his foot once it reaches the ground to try to land a hit on Ryuuga's side with his other leg. It was to more or less get him back into range, so he could aim a right jab somewhere near the other man's face.

Hopefully Ryuuga can counter it somehow!]

[WHAT IN THE EVER LOVING FUCK MAN, SHIT JUST GOT WAY TOO REAL.]

[And even though his ankle is bleeding like crazy (and possibly giving him a dip in HP), he still struggles to raise his other leg and smash it against Kaneda's head, in a hope to pry him off his foot.]

[Yusuke's a little exhausted too, all of this dodging and sudden energy drainage wearing him out, but he can't help but send a flat look back in Darin's direction. Did this guy seriously just waste all of his news attacks on him?

His eyebrow raises, however, at the other man's suggestion, and he props his hands to his hips, giving a sharp snort.]

Y'know, girls don't like guys who finish early, Blue Balls.

[But there's a wry grin at that now, cocky and eager.]

But if you think you can land a decent hit on me with one of those weird things, then you're on!

[It's kind of hard to pull a sneak attack when your ace in the hole is a glowing blue finger, though Yusuke was hoping that it's sheer power would make up for any elements of surprise. And it does, to a degree! He's kind of proud he managed to whittle down THAT much from the large creature, and he's about to attempt a follow-up attack, when the ground begins to shake.

It was hard enough to maintain his footing then and there, but once the rock fragments begin to burst from below, he fumbles a bit into the rubble. Pushing himself despite the odd sluggishness from earlier, he flits between shard to shard, hoping to get to Ifrit fast enough before he launches his next attack.]

[Really, it's been so long since he's been in an honest to goodness brawl, that he doesn't really care who wins or loses at this point, just as long as he can fight.

... well, okay, maybe that wasn't ENTIRELY true. He'd still like to win, if he could, and that punched he managed to deliver was definitely on the right track. However, one could not beat gravity, and he was already off balance as it was, so Duo's attempt at flipping Yusuke over succeeds, much to his dismay. There's a small yelp before he hits he ground, momentarily stunned.

If Duo was going to turn the tables, he may want to do it now.]

[He will meet her in ViViD at eleven-o-clock for an ass-kicking if that's what it takes to get a fight from her!! His confusion quickly gives way to annoyance, however, and his fists ball up in frustration.]

You could've said something yourself, dammit! You hit me back, so how the hell was I supposed to know? I'm not about to go grilling every person who comes in here if they're up for a brawl or not!

[There's a little snarl at Angelo's comment, a muscle already twitching in his cheek. Maybe it was a good thing he turned down that gig with him-- there was a high chance he probably would have killed him within his first week of the job.]

[Close range attacks didn't seem like they were going to work, unfortunately, and since this guy could do magic... well, perhaps he didn't have to hold back on the special attacks department.

Yusuke's fist glows blue as he draws it back, letting the energy build.]

Besides, you'd need to be a helluva lot cooler to be considered for my fight card, pal!

[And he lets that built up energy fly, sending it in multiple blasts towards Angelo.]

[Ifrit's not quite finished with it's attack though. Claws stab deep into the ground that he'd been punching, and the Aeon draws on the strength of the earth...to rip up the floor like it was a piece of astroturf and hurl it at Yusuke. Apparently he has decided that finger laser hurt, and that it did not want to eat another hit like that.

[Darin shakes his head, grinning a little wider. That reckless gleam in his eye was starting to show.]

No thanks...I won't be using that weird energy disc.

[He straightens up and rolls his arms at the shoulders, flexing and stretching them out.]

You've got the hardest head I think I've ever seen. I've never had the opportunity to really let fly with a real, honest punch before. Now I'm tempted to try it!

[If you seen Takeru in 4 more years, you'll see that he had changed plenty all right! But until then, he was just so proud to show off Angemon that he couldn't help himself! Although, as two more enemies showed up before him, he had to get ready!]

I'm ready whenever you are, Yusuke-san! Let's show them what the both of us can do!

[With that, he got his DigiVice out before he looked back at his flying hamster]

Be prepared, those two people look really strong! They look like they could do a lot of damage!

[There's a snort at Patamon's warning, his arrogance in full-throttle.]

Oh yeah? Well, so can we! Let's kick their asses, kid!

[With that, he rushes towards the burlier of the goons, the one with the purple and the chains, sending a rapid-fire punch towards the man's midsection.

... of course, he is going to keep an eye on Takeru during whatever dust-up they'll get themselves into, to make sure the little guy isn't getting in over his head, but he's not going to let him know that quite YET.]

[He's not about to kick him hard enough to cave his head in or anything like that, but he is keen on seeing some blood from this asshole. For whatever reason, though, for as hard as he's hitting him, it doesn't seem like he's really taking off much HP... huh...]

[Something tells him he should be worried about a statement like that, but... well, Yusuke's not a professional adrenaline junkie for nothing, and that reckless gleam is already well and present in Yusuke's own eyes.]

Yeah? Well, I gotta admit, the fact that you're still standing after most of this is kinda impressive, too.

Fine then! Gimme what you got! I'm not gonna hold back either!

[... welp, that's sure a whole lot of floor flying at him all at once.

He can barely get a cry of surprise out before it hits him head on, hurtling him well across the stage and into a messy, debris ridden heap. That attack succeeds at knocking back the rest of his HP, save for a small, small sliver, and it seems for the moment that he's going to be lying in this stone heap for quite a bit.

... though the fact that he's starting to glow a bit may be a bit concerning...]

[Judging by the fact that he's beginning to crawl out of this stone pile like some crab on steroids, these markings stark against his skin, may be answer enough. This beast was strong, but if he maybe tried to tap into his demon energy, he might--

[Yuna's worked it out, mostly. This is some battle game, and he's just an idiot who wanted to fight...]

[ Duo is by no means a gymnast like Trowa - so excuse him if that little back roll wasn't the most graceful, but he's doing his best to get on top of Yusuke in the most efficient way he can possibly think of. They're running low on time, as it was, and considering his health was getting low after that direct hit to the face? It was time to at least take this a little more seriously than he had been, just to see what the results would be.

For posterity's sake, if he can get on top of Yusuke?

Definitely going for a face punch, just to make it even-steven. ]

You mean my Aeon? No, you weren't. He was going to flatten you if you moved again.

[Yes, she's scolding you like a child, and walking back to banish the beast with a touch and start walking towards an exit.]

[A show of faith would be a good way of putting it. (which is doubly hilarious considering who's costume he's stuck in) Besides, it had been a while since he just did a straight fist-fight.

Though he's probably regretting being okay with that at this point - the second kick has him nearly doubling over, but he sees the punch coming and sucking in a breath, he ducks under it and pushes forward to attempt a forearm smash into Yusuke's side, nothing flashy at this point.]
