[He was much too busy trying to hash out a plan on the fly than size up this beast's spiritual make-up, but it did explain why it was difficult as hell to fight. Sacred energy was extremely powerful, and while Yusuke managed some semblance to it a while ago with his fight with Yomi, he never quite pinned it down.
That said, it's also been a long while since Yusuke's punched something this resilient. It hurt, but it was also... kind of exciting? At his level of power, finding a good opponent was hard, and he grins back at the thing despite his hit having very little effect. Ifrit's hit could have been blocked, but Yusuke takes it head-on, both his handicap and his curiosity for this thing's full power making it hard to dodge.
... still, it hurt like hell, and he rockets back a good ten feet, landing in a messy heap on the ground, half of his HP already depleted. It takes a minute or so for him to reemerge, coughing a bit of blood up, but still looking quite thrilled by this. Raising a shaky hand up, he points a glowing finger towards Ifrit. It starts to glow brighter and brighter, almost blinding, until he releases it from his hand and sends it shooting towards the beast.]
