Really, he doesn't fight at all as she draws him closer, and he listens to her voice after a long moment--he takes in a shaky breath, lifting his gaze to fix his eyes on her, and...admittedly, despite himself, his expression is afraid.

Even now, he can't help it.

He's still scared.]
