Understanding dawned when Eiji emerged from the unfamiliar transformation. Her ears weren't ringing as badly, but the sound would persist for the rest of the day as she lost that particular registry of sound. She hadn't recognised his voice, but right now, she wouldn't have recongised most people's voices.
"No, not bad. I think I'm bruised all over, but that's it." A little cut on the inside of her cheek, but again, nothing that counted as much of a hurt. She relaxed her shoulders, looking up at Eiji's face. "How about you? You're okay? I'm glad you're able to help get these people out. If it were just me, I don't know what I'd be doing." She paused, glancing past him to the torn open train car. "Probably still trying to pry open the doors from the top."
