[Kara plops rather unceremoniously onto the gazebo bench, fidgeting with her dog tags as she stares out across the greenery as she tries to wrap her head around someone who can tell her exactly what Earth's like.
Again, finding someone who's been there when she's without the Fleet is a bittersweet feeling. But knowing that it's real, that it's out there...that's what helps.
She sends a small smile Mars' way.]
I don't know how far away it is, but simply put, yes. Earth's always been a legend for us, so to hear it actually exists...well, [she laughs softly] you can imagine how I feel. (Especially living on a spaceship for so long, then New Caprica -- and what an "adventure" that was.)
[A shining jewel, huh? Sounds like something Kara can't imagine without thinking of the forests of Caprica, forests where now so much bloodshed and radiation litters the landscape.]
It sounds like some of our mythology where I'm from. If what you say is true, then I'm ready to be there. But I have people to lead first.
[She looks at Mars finally, takes in her understanding expression.]
