THE TOWER
[ As per the mod post:

All groups will find that the tower is deserted, and all technology is shut off. Through some fiddling, some of CERES’ databases can be accessed, but only in the most basic of safe modes. Hacking will just get everything to shut off again, as it takes too much power from whatever emergency power source allows the systems to turn on.

There are no dangers, but even so, the characters won’t have long in the tower before their code starts to warp strangely. If they stay too long, they will be glitched right out of existence -- and then right outside of the tower. They will find that for the next three ic days, all food tastes burnt and sleeping is extremely unsatisfying, to the point that they don’t even feel like they need it, before they go back to normal. Characters will have a maximum of 3 IC hours in the tower before that point.

Feel free to thread out characters meeting up before the exploration, or bumping into each other in the rather big tower, amongst other shenanigans! ]


THE SANCTUARY
[ there isn't much of a preparation for this, but there will be a text blast alerting everybody to go to the sanctuary if they so please to discuss what people have found in the tower.

as usual, a variety of flavours of pizza is being served. there may not be pizza for everybody however, as athena is rather broke. (sweats) remember to leave your cerevices in the basket by the entrance! ]

Eh? I'm not a 'lady', so you can call me Felicia like everyone else does.

[The man's formality always threw her, and even now it was the same. While appreciated politeness, she just couldn't shake the whole deal with people insisting she had a title.

Though she wasn't a maid anymore, that was still something for people of a higher social status.]

And, we can try again? But I'm not sure that we'll be able to find anything different. It doesn't look like our bosses here care anymore.

We haven't gotten any closer to discovering a means to return home. That should be our top priority, now.

True...but I'm starting to wonder what 'home' even is at this point.

[Not only were multiple realms a thing in this world, but a thing in the world she hailed from. That, and her own experiences in Tellus is making her question things.

...It gave her a headache to think too much about it.]

And the thing that worries me is how some people appear and disappear, and then come back almost like they're a completely different person. It just doesn't make since that it's actually possible for something like that to happen.

Well, when I arrived here? He didn't know who I was or anything about our country. He was going by a different name, knew different skills, and seemed like a completely different person than the one I knew. But, he left for a few days, and when he came back?

He was the person I knew, like nothing had even happened even though the both of us knew that something did happen.

[Pouting, she tugged at her ponytail nervously.]

I don't understand it. At all. It really makes no sense.

Are you sure the first person wasn't, perhaps a lookalike? Or, I suppose there is a more likely chance that that person had been affected by one of the strange occurrences, the 'glitches' we learned about in the tower.

It would make more sense if Odin and Owain were different people, [Felicia said, not even bothering to hide her friend's name now.] But I'm certain that they're the same. Odin knew everything that happened to him here when he was still calling himself Owain, which is why it's so confusing!

[All ths thinking...it was making her head hurt.]

...ah. Well. I have no explanation that can help you, then.

I know-- and I was hoping we could find the reason for that when we went in, too.

[She sighed. This really was hopeless, wasn't it?]

It would have at least been something, I suppose.

More than we would have gotten, anyway.

[But, it didn't matter. The mystery was gone, and she didn't know when she would be seeing her friend again. Instead, she just wanted to focus on the things she could do in this place...]

...If you're having problems with your head like a lot of people are, I can try to use some healing magic to make it feel a little better, [she offered, somewhat shyly. She wasn't a terribly good healer, since her focus was on supporting her companions and striking opponents with her throwing daggers, but it was better than not having any.

Besides, she wanted to do something for this odd man, to help him feel a little more comfortable too.]

It would be wasted energy, the pain will simply come back. Every remedy I've tried has only suppressed it for a little while. [but, manners] Thank you for the offer all the same.

[Strange as this man is, they had still worked together. In an odd sense, that made them 'coworkers', and she was hopeful that they would be able to work together again.]
