THE TOWER
[ As per the mod post:

All groups will find that the tower is deserted, and all technology is shut off. Through some fiddling, some of CERES’ databases can be accessed, but only in the most basic of safe modes. Hacking will just get everything to shut off again, as it takes too much power from whatever emergency power source allows the systems to turn on.

There are no dangers, but even so, the characters won’t have long in the tower before their code starts to warp strangely. If they stay too long, they will be glitched right out of existence -- and then right outside of the tower. They will find that for the next three ic days, all food tastes burnt and sleeping is extremely unsatisfying, to the point that they don’t even feel like they need it, before they go back to normal. Characters will have a maximum of 3 IC hours in the tower before that point.

Feel free to thread out characters meeting up before the exploration, or bumping into each other in the rather big tower, amongst other shenanigans! ]


THE SANCTUARY
[ there isn't much of a preparation for this, but there will be a text blast alerting everybody to go to the sanctuary if they so please to discuss what people have found in the tower.

as usual, a variety of flavours of pizza is being served. there may not be pizza for everybody however, as athena is rather broke. (sweats) remember to leave your cerevices in the basket by the entrance! ]

Balance? If that's so, it'd explain why only those of us who have spiritual or magical powers seem to have been sacrificed. [The Bridge was probably there to make sure the energy was properly spread then, seeing that she doesn't appear to be linked to any element.]

Something bothers me, though...the spirits haven't said before that they need us. What would happen if the sacrifices stop? [Whether it's stopped since the altar was destroyed remains to be seen, and if this DC had anything to do with the matter it would complicate things.]

[ She thinks that's still Not Okay, but she does nod. If any of Kashuu's friends were being targeted... well, how much more spiritual can you get than being an outright spirit?

Though Chihiro doesn't think the Bridge was spreading anything around. Then again, her relationships to such things said the boss probably is taking everything they can for themselves, so her presumption is the Bridge did the same thing. ]

I think that the Bridge wouldn't be very happy. That document said she likes chaos... but I'm not sure if that means chaos she's not hurt by or just any chaos at all. But, um... haven't the sacrifices already stopped?

We don't know if there were any other altars, but it's possible that the altar we found was the only one meant for the Bridge. [England's sacrifice had been considered necessary for a reason, he thinks.]

And I'm not sure that's what it means...if the Bridge is ancient, it could just mean that she enjoys sacrifices like the older gods in our world. You're from Earth too, aren't you, Ogino-san? [It's a fair bet given her usage of honorifics, but who really knows these days.]

[ She nods in assent. She's just, ah... Hm. ]

[ But she doesn't want to say any of the rest makes sense, just knowing the history of cultures on Earth and their relationships to gods might have been bloody in the past. Her own weren't... exactly nothing but kindness, but they weren't entirely pointless in their rules and associated cruelty. Little as she likes it at the time. ]

It might sound strange, but...maybe there's nothing we can do except to wait. [The spirits weren't the most co-operative, but with everything out of balance it could mean more answers when they need it.]

How's the pizza, by the way?

[ As soon as Minato asks about the pizza she ends up dropping her slice onto her plate and uh. Looking down at it. ]

[Minato doesn't call the pizza dropping out, but he does finish off the rest of his pizza in the meanwhile.]
