We were made to suffer
Who:
yourotherleft & OPEN
When: IC 9/13-9/20 aka the event
Where: his apartment, Dojo or Diejo, and the mean streets of Cerealia
What: the implant short has made Zoro 100% insomniac, which for a guy who only sleeps 3 hours a night anyway, is kind of bad. Open log for anyone who wants to encounter him while he gradually loses his mind from a lack of sleep and intermittent loss of his haki.
Rating/Warning: nothing? idek
[The only good thing Zoro could say about the momentary blackout was that it seemed to signal and end to the headaches? But what came after that turned out to be much worse. He didn't notice anything terribly wrong with being unable to grab a nap all day, but once night fell and he was still tossing and turning all the way through to dawn, the grump began, and the grump was by no means the worst of it. Besides being simply unable to sleep, he also had trouble focusing his haki here and there, resulting in people sneaking up on him when he should have sensed them coming, among other things.]
Day 1-2 - Sleepless
[What? He's only a little grouchy. Zoro does his best to go about his day like normal, which means training, sparring, and then trying to make his way back home without ending up on the far end of the colony first. He has completely abandoned ViViD, even though he really loved the gravity room - he's not going to risk any more glitches or anything, and seriously, fuck CERES entirely. Dojo or Diejo is the place to be, and the insomnia has made him a little more aggressive than usual, harshly turning down anyone too weak to face him and openly seeking stronger opponents. If they aren't at the dojo, maybe he'll meet someone in the streets...]
Day 3-4 - Reckless
[By now Zoro is undoubtedly fatigued, he's never gone this long without a wink of sleep. But he's a stubborn asshole who insists he's fine and can still go about his routine regardless of whether or not he's compromised. The dojo is a dangerous place to be when he's there, someone might have to force him to submit before he'll stop challenging everyone. Fortunately, with his haki occasionally vanishing, some of his advantages have been removed, but not his monstrous strength. He shifts to actively hunting down people he knows who can take him, which given his poor sense of direction, means he literally roams the entire colony from one end to the other for 24 hours straight, never resting, never sleeping. By the end of day 4 there may be rumors of a green-headed monster in the entertainment and pleasure districts.]
Day 5-7 - Senseless
[the aggression has given way to pure fatigue by now, so while Zoro isn't as angry and frustrated, he can hardly move. Sitting on the couch or on a park bench doesn't constitute rest, not when he can't sleep. Even walking is hard, so by the end he doesn't even leave the apartment, though he will still take calls and visitors. The hallucinations start late on the 17th, caused by the insomnia rather than the implant, so for a while he does manage to get out and can be found walking up and down the streets calling for Luffy - he swears he saw his captain, there he is again swinging from the lampposts! Don't you see him? Don't you hear the ocean? I have to get to it! Someone please escort him safely home. Don't let him sit on that park bench in the gardens, with his back to the lake and the monsters he can no longer sense looming up behind him, ready to take his head off with one bite...]
