[ It's honestly enough that she glances down, feeling herself blush in embarrassment. Not at what he's saying, not exactly, but that she's having it pointed out to her (roundaboutly) that no one is at present looking out for her, though she has plenty who do or will in general. She can't ask anyone to do that. She's not anyone's responsibility. In the time she's spent here, she doesn't know how to shift from friends to being so audacious as to look for a guardian.
So she hasn't. She's lucked out, or asked for help when she needs it most, or tried to find creative solutions. She's proactive enough, and makes herself busy enough, that it's like dealing with it. It's just weird dealing with the baldface concern when she doesn't know what to really say. Other than: ]
