[ The moment Yu’s mask appeared in his hands, he knew what was happening. As if the ship in the sky and the tear directly into the Nexus weren’t enough. His mask, forcing itself into his grip…
… they’ve finally come. He’s waiting for the Flamines to claim their revenge for so long.
Yu doesn’t try to discard his mask. Instead he ties it to his arm so that it’s always facing out, so that everyone can see his shattered, hideous mask. It’s a beacon.
With his every movement he’s summoning the Flamines straight to him.
After initially sending a text out to the Investigation Team about what was happening, warning them to stay safe and stay together, he himself had disappeared. Out his own window, so his friends couldn’t stop him. He’d landed on one of his Personas and took off, sword in hand, and barreled into the nearest Flamines he could find.
No one else dies for him. No one.
All around the city, but eventually focusing mostly on the Entertainment District, you might find a huge gold dragon flying overhead. The Flamines are chasing it in ever-increasing numbers. Every so often the dragon disappears, and the sharp-eyed might notice a boy plummet from the sky.
This happens over and over as Yu leads the Flamines on a grand chase. He stops to hide, to breathe, when he can, in alleyways and any place secluded enough to lose his tail for even a moment. He tries very, very hard to avoid people, for the most part.
But he can’t always see from up above if there’s anyone somehow out of sight below.
Not to mention at one point he takes just enough time - about two minutes - to compose a network post. ]

[ A few hours later and things have taken a turn for the much worse.
Yosuke is dead.
His best friend. His partner. His—
Go out with me, Yosuke.
… okay.
He’s been half-insane with rage and grief ever since. So many people have died for him. Because of him. So many people he loves he’s watched ripped into bloody shreds or dropped into the abyss or just destroyed. So many. So many.
So much death.
For him.
Because of him.
It’s too much. It’s too much. This last death—
—is too much.
And he doesn’t care anymore.
Yu can be found rampaging through the city. His mask is still broken. Still lashed to his arm. And he’s fighting everything. Despite his exhaustion, despite the fact that his injuries gradually mount, despite glitching in and out, teleporting places he didn’t mean to go and occasionally having his powers go haywire, he keeps fighting. If he sees anyone else fighting he storms in to take on the Flamines himself, his eyes wild and his whole body shaking.
Hope you don’t mind having someone crash your fight with a Persona hovering at his side. Or whatever else you were doing, if he randomly teleports into you. ]
