Now, if he knew more about the man, Delita would be able to keep going about this. He'd be able to say that yes, he knows everything... but honestly, Delita doesn't know anything about him other than what he saw in that little thing, and if she hadn't given him the name, he would know precisely jack and shit.

So he shakes his head. Honesty is not the best policy - he knows that well - but there's nothing to be gained by making things up. "I have never met the man, nor would I say anything about it. What could I gain from that, Ada? Do you think me a slanderer? A rumor-starter?"

This is giving him all sorts of information to work with, though. Is she embarrassed about this? Is it a secret tryst? He doesn't know, because he doesn't know the context of their relationship at all - but he knows that it's certainly [i]something[/i].
