Who: Ada Vessalius and Delita
When: 11/09
Where: Cosplay Cafe, after work
What: Ada personally invited Delita to come meet with her after work. Have a drink... maybe a bite to eat... and talk about things he knows that she wants him to be quiet about.
Rating/Warning: G/None. Will update if needed.
From the very beginning, Ada felt like she fit in very well at work. She had fun, and got to wear all kinds of cute and unique outfits and she was able to spend that time talking to and serving people, something she enjoyed immensely. She had been a little nervous at first. After all, this kind of work was utterly foreign to her, having grown up with the expectations that she would marry into a proper family, not enter into work. However, the transition was not nearly so scary as she thought. People were so much fun to work with and not one day was ever boring.
Ada got caught up in her work and hadn't even noticed the time when she was Delita walk in. Blinking, she noticed the time hurried to catch up with him. She should have been back getting changed already. She hated making people wait, but it couldn't be helped. But she would certainly hurry so as not to keep him waiting any longer than she had to.
"Sorry, I didn't realize it was this late already... please! Have a seat! I just need to go get changed and I'll be right back."
Although it was fun to wear, she didn't suppose the cute magical girl cosplay outfit was the kind of thing you should wear when you were meeting someone. It should only take her a few minutes to change and put everything back in it's place.

It really was only a few minutes, which was impressive itself for the transformation. Gone was the strange outfit and it's matching headpiece and when Ada emerged, she was back to her normal self - two ribbons in her hair on either side and wearing a simple, yet elegant dress. She quickly made herself comfortable at the seat across from his, smiling the same way she so often did, hands folded comfortably on the table in front of her. But even though her smile was the same, there was... something off about her. Something that seemed to be sad.
"Thank you for meeting with me today. I apologize for contacting you so suddenly. I had meant to do so earlier but..."
Well. She had some other issues that she'd needed to settle first before she met with him. But... that wasn't something she wanted to discuss with Delita, although the subjects did overlap a little. "Well. It simply didn't seem like the right time." She hoped that he could accept that, even though it was far from a proper explanation. It was difficult enough having to bring him here to discuss the matter as it was without bringing... any other details into it.

He's much more pleased to see her in something approaching a normal outfit. Cosplay is one thing that Delita will simply never understand the appeal of, so it's good to see her in this. But he doesn't understand why they have to meet here (other than convenience), or really, why he's here that much.
"What is it I am here for, Ada?" It's not as aggressive as it could be - but he would like to know that. He's looking right into her eyes now, searching her for some scrap of information, an inkling of an idea as to why the blonde would bring him here. Certainly not just a happy outing... right?

As an aristocrat, Ada is used to wearing lavish outfits - but she's also still a student. That meant she also had opportunities to get out of such complicated and heavy clothes, and she found she liked it better if they were light and pretty, but simpler. Corsets were difficult not only to prepare, but to move around in and breathe in, no matter what their benefits to the female figure were. So she avoided those kinds of things here.
She'd also like to say that this was just a simple get-together between acquaintances. Delita might be different from her, but she still hoped that they could be friends with time. But even if that was what she would have liked, it isn't true. There's something she wants to ask of him. Beyond that however, it would be nice if they could sit and talk more.
"There was something I wanted to talk to you about, though it certainly wasn't the only reason I asked you here. I'd like to know more about you as well."
But even so, he had the right to hear out her request first. "But I suppose first thing is first. I want to ask... are you familiar with a man named Vincent Nightray?" She did not assume one way or the other, and he'd never made any mention of it. At least not to her.

But her question surprises him, only because for all he knows, she may have said "Who is Gloobleflorp Wizzerdrix?" It's a name that has absolutely no meaning to him, to the point where he doesn't even know why she would assume he knows anything about who this person is. But given that they aren't the closest of friends, and what he does know about her, he can gather a guess. Normally he'd sit on this information, but he suspects he knows who it is. And ... well, it's not like it's hard to explain why he knows.
"Your beloved." It's important to note that even though this is completely a guess, that Delita doesn't make it sound like a guess. He sounds as if he's completely sure as to who it is - perhaps not on a buddy-buddy basis, but certainly not just a shot in the dark. Her reaction will tell him more - much more - than her words do.

He's no fool, that's for certain. Even so, it startles her how suddenly he says that, and also how confidant he is in his assessment. Ada can't help but look around a bit, as if making sure no one heard. It's certainly odd behavior for someone so in love with the person. It was something more befitting of one who was embarrassed or ashamed of that relationship. All the same, she didn't seem to be either of those things when she spoke about him herself.
If he knew Vincent for anything else, she expected that he would have said as much. That was it's own sort of relief. But it didn't prove that they didn't share any related correspondence besides herself. For that reason, it was still important that she speak with him.
"You are... correct."
Boyfriend, lover, beloved... they were all appropriate terms, she supposed, though she'd never had it in her to utter them to him. But it wasn't like she felt threatened, no. For all his quirks, he had always been kind to her, and she felt quite happy with the way things were. It wasn't her who worried about others learning of their relationship - although there were a number of reasons that perhaps she should. But although she was fine with it, Vincent had always felt it best to keep it quiet. And after... well...
"I don't suppose you've ever met him, have you?" She can only guess as much from what he'd said, but she doesn't sound like one who's simply guessing either. "I know this might seem strange but... I want to ask you... not to say anything about it."

So he shakes his head. Honesty is not the best policy - he knows that well - but there's nothing to be gained by making things up. "I have never met the man, nor would I say anything about it. What could I gain from that, Ada? Do you think me a slanderer? A rumor-starter?"
This is giving him all sorts of information to work with, though. Is she embarrassed about this? Is it a secret tryst? He doesn't know, because he doesn't know the context of their relationship at all - but he knows that it's certainly something.
