and this is what he's met with: his father denying that all of that happened in the first place. that he was never at the big reveal, that he never challenged Lloyd to the duel at the seal, and that he never departed for Derris-Kharlan. logically, Lloyd should get to the bottom of this — and he wants to, dammit does he want to — but Lloyd's never been one to follow logic ("Just because the logic is sound, doesn't mean it's right"). instead, it just causes him more grief.
