Who: Yang ([personal profile] flaredo), Ludger ([personal profile] insolvent>), and Elle ([personal profile] foodcritic)
When: October 18
Where: Ludger's apartment
What: Play date... more or less.
Rating/Warning: None

[ ludger wasn't entirely sure how it had happened, but one way or another yang had talked him into inviting her over to his (moderately overpriced) apartment. er... at least, that's what he thought had just happened. still, this was probably a good thing. when all was said and done, ludger still wasn't sure how to best take care of elle now that she was here, so having some help on that front was appreciated. though he'd taken care of her back in their world as well, he'd always had jude and the others to rely on. suddenly playing dad to an eight year old girl was not something ludger was particularly equipped to do... okay he was actually strangely well equipped to do that, but he was still having some trouble wrapping his head around it.

it would definitely help if elle had some friends around her age here though, so calling yang over seemed like a good idea. not that yang was actually elle's age... now that he thought about it, he actually wasn't sure how old she was, but she was definitely closer to ludger's age than elle's. well, regardless, having someone else to play with would would be good for elle.

probably.

he'd at least used that as an excuse to put his place back in order at least, not that it was ever particularly out of order. he'd told elle that yang was coming over too, and she seemed more or less happy about the idea (at least, he thought that was happiness, anyway). so for now, all there was to do was wait. ]

It's not picky to not like one thing, you know.
flaredo: (Of course I don't start fights)

Is there anything else you don't like?

[wow, way to put all the pressure on her, guys!!]

I dunno... really spicy things, I guess.
flaredo: (That's my lil sis)

That's kind of an acquired taste, anyway... my dad's totally into spicy things, but it took me awhile!

[she's totally making a face at that.]

Can't I just appreciate foods without that stuff?
flaredo: (The minute you walked in the club)

Maybe! But I'll check back with you in a few more years and see if that's changed.

[a few years, huh.]

You grownups sure are weird about this stuff sometimes, you know that? [so insistent...]
flaredo: (Selfy!)

Because we've been there! [ sage nod. ] Dad used to have to hold me down to eat certain stuff!

He— held you down? [yeah, elle's a little troubled by this too.]

...Daddy just always made me things I liked instead of trying to make me eat gross stuff. [she really just can't even remember there being a time when he tried to make her eat tomatoes, and the mabo curry was always elle-style.] Isn't it better to do it that way?
flaredo: (Tell me more tell me more)

[ Welcome to her household, where they mail their dogs. ]

Probably! I would've liked it better that way, but in the end, I guess it worked.

[listen, things happen. maybe victor just knew it was a futile effort from the start, so he didn't bother! or something. really, she can't remember all that many arguments about it, though it could be because she would make a point to call out how gross tomatoes were.

every time.

either way? she's giggling a little and feeling pretty victorious about this whole situation.]
