You're spinning my head in circles, but I think I've got the gist of it. It's a machine with buttons, and pressing the right buttons gets it to do what you want. It's a simple concept, and I'd be a dunce if I didn't get it.

[ But this was no ordinary button-pushing system, it was advanced technology by hundreds or thousands of years. Still, if they brought in idiots like him from all over, those people would have to get used to it, why not him? They wouldn't give him something too significant for him to use. ]

What does the shape at the end of the line mean? Do you have to enter that every time for it to work?
