[ Seated across the aisle from the man who seems to be talking to nobody in particular, Erwin sits quietly next to his Captain, listening to the others on the bus talk about this or that. Nothing like this has every happened to him before - he's never even seen anything like this. Being herded into this thing wasn't on his to-do list, being forcefully removed from his horse and dropped into some unknown world most certainly wasn't among his top priorities.

I've never even seen anything comparable to the thing we're currently sitting in - a bus, I believe I heard somebody say.
[ Basically, Erwin should still be riding his horse into battle to rescue one of the most important members of his entire corps... not sitting on a bus headed for Hell and listening to everybody attempting to carry on a conversation. He should be trying to figure out the best way possible for himself and his Captain to return home, to return where they belong, not engaging in conversation himself. ]
