I have no idea why I've been brought here or even what I saw, but I hardly believe that fixing a situation in which I saw my world destroyed before my eyes is 'fixed' with tapping in a few codes!

[He's catching on that somehow this guy is mocking him, but he's not sure what he's mocking him for. His own theory is sound and given what he saw and his emotional state, he's not really sure to believe in the optimistic theory that with someone fixing a code, everything will suddenly be wonderful.]
