[Different than most or not...Sousei has a pretty flexible definition of people. With his bloodline, it would be silly for him to think that you had to be human to be a person.

No, anyone could be a person, so long as they possessed that sentience and capability to choose for themselves. So no matter what the swords say... he does believe they have that right.

He nods simply.]


There is no need for thanks. [Rather, he's not doing it for thanks or accolades, but because he truly believes it.] But we will teach you whatever you may need to learn.

[...a pause. And he continues, albeit a little more slowly--]

There is no need to refer to yourself as "merely" a weapon. You are a sword, of renowned history and beautiful craftsmanship, taken form. There is no "merely" about that.

[Really, he thinks it's kind of amazing; but then, he's always treasured his own sword.]
