[Shun wouldn't have offered if it wasn't okay. Somehow, Yuto know holding this deck is a little ironic actually – Shun built it with the memory of their home on his mind and the grief of thinking his best friend lost weighting his heart. It's a tribute to both in the end, created the only way Shun knows how to in this place, the only way that connects to all of it.
Which is even more ironic, considering that dueling is what got them where they are in first place and that Shun hasn't played one duel simply for the enjoyment of it ever since that day.
He just nods at that promise – Yuto can hold onto that deck as long as it takes, as long as is needed. They have the time and the resources for it. It's not what's on his mind when he clenches his hands and voices what he has been thinking all along, the one reason why Yuto's disappearance had weighted even worse on him than it would have anyway.]
...I should have been there.
[He should have backed Yuto, he had wanted to and yet made the call not to. He could have gone regardless of what Akaba had ordered him – fought his way out of LDS if that's what it took. He hadn't though, had trusted Yuto's skills despite knowing...
It doesn't matter now, there is no going back to change what happened and Shun isn't usually one to get hung up on the what ifs, but... There's been too much time to think in the last month. Too little of everything that should take his full attention and too much time to doubt the decisions he's made. It really hasn't been a good month.]
