Who: Gundam Tanaka
hamham and you!
When: All day December 22nd
Where: Various!
What: Gundam needs a little help with various things, and also a little food in his belly.
Rating/Warning: Probably a warning for profanity yeah.
[A - In the Gardens]
[It's a pretty nice morning out, and as such Gundam can be found enjoying the weather on a bench in the garden. Or at least, maybe he's enjoying it? It's a little hard to tell with the scowl he's wearing, glaring down at a pad of paper in his lap and tapping his pen against the edge of it. What is he working on that's got him so annoyed? If anyone wanted to peek at the paper, they'll see that all he has written is the word "Topics". The rest is blank. Don't get too close though, or you'll be greeted as followed:]
Do not draw too close, mortal, or you will regret leaving your abode today.
[B - Shopping District]
[And here this nerd is again, later in the morning after he left the gardens whether successful or not in whatever he was doing, moving around from store to store. In each instance, he's heading straight for the animal section, scrutinizing all of the available products before moving on. If you're wondering what he's doing, you may be in luck, because eventually he approaches someone nearby with a question.]
Tell me...do you know where I might find alfalfa hay or raw, unsalted seeds of various types? Answer me immediately, but know that if your answer is unsatisfactory I will destroy you where you stand!
[Wow he's real good at asking for help.]
[C - Lunch]
[Around noon this oh so imposing figure can be found glancing over various food stalls, looking for something to eat. He never really draws close enough to look like he's going to order, but does spend time carefully reading over any menus available and debating on exactly what sounds good.
A lot of things sound good, to be honest. Decisions decisions...]
[Closed to Kuzuryuu]
[Genius here decided to boast about his Netherworld balls to his one and only friend, which sort of bit him in the ass once he realized he needed to find a suit. Couldn't very well tell this friend that no, he's never attended a ball before and has no idea what you're supposed to wear to them after that. That'd be kind of embarrassing. But luckily he knows this guy who knows a thing or two about suits who for some reason is willing to put up with him and help him look for one. Which is good, because if he were going himself he'd probably have chosen something hideous.
So after returning home to put his loot away and call Kuzuryuu up, he once again returned to the shopping district to bum around and wait for him there. Maybe peer questioningly at some of the shops around. Did he show up fully dressed as usual? Of course. Why do the smart thing and ditch the coat, over shirt and scarf when trying on clothes if you can just make everything a little more dificult for yourself?]

A-ish; action
Tanaka.
[There's some audible relief in her voice as she approaches with a definite purpose, peering curiously down at the paper. What the heck, Gundam. What the actual heck. Is he trying to learn how to have a conversation...? That seems likely (though more Tsumiki's thing than Gundam's).]
no subject
Though at his name he glances up from the practically blank sheet, scowl carrying through the action until he sees who it is.]
Ah, good morning Pekoyama. Is there something you need from me?
[Maybe she is just coming to say hello, Gundam. People do not need to have a purpose to speak with you, you know.]
no subject
Yes, there is.
[Why does she always talk like everything is of Supreme Importance...?
And then she's holding out the bag, a little stiffly.]
This is for you. It is not much, and I apologize for the lateness...
[She'd checked her ID not too long ago and realized that they'd all apparently missed Gundam's birthday completely. What great friends they are... but if he opens it and pulls out the tissue paper, he'll find a small cardboard box, and a... plastic baggie of seedless grapes?]
For the Devas... [she'll explain, a little hesitantly if he's looking confused about the grapes.]
no subject
But he gingerly accepts it, taking it from the bottom so as to avoid touching Peko's hand trying to accept it from where she's holding it. And admittedly he was only a tiny bit confused at the grapes, but ah. For the hamsters, alright. Well, the box is carefully set on his lap and those furry little beasts are pulled out of their scarf burrow and set on the bench and each are given a grape.
Yes, pretend you are surprised that he's taking care of them first before going to open the gift for himself. AND THEN onto the box. What is inside you, little box?]
no subject
It takes Peko a few seconds to realize that Gundam's opened the box, though -- hamsters eating grapes is something she never realized she needed in her life but now she knows.]
Ah... for your birthday. Again, I apologize for the lateness.
no subject
Ah, my birthday?
[That's...a little unexpected. He's used to his birthday being just a thing he and his mom did together. This...it's a surprise, especially from Peko, but it's nice.
...gotta think on what to say to this exactly.]
Apologizing for something like that...do not be so foolish. Something like that doesn't matter.
[Really Peko, it's okay that it's late. He's incredibly touched you got him something in the first place. Probably pretty obvious by how after that line, he ducks his head down and tugs his scarf up over his nose. It's a pretty sheepish look.]
...thank you.
no subject
She can't help but feel a little like she messed up somehow, since he seems to be doing his best to hide inside his scarf. This... is what classmates do for each other, isn't it? Especially classmates who have small cuddly animals that aren't (too) afraid of her.]
You are welcome.
[A nod! Her job is done here, but the hams have grapes so she's watching that. A beat, then she has to ask,]
Why are you writing a list of topics?
no subject
But don't worry it's not that you did anything wrong. Not that he's going to explain that though. Instead he keeps the book in his lap, but glances at that supposed to be topics list.]
I'm attempting to think topics about animals to discuss on a radio show. Unfortunately, they offered me the vague theme of "animals", so this is proving to be difficult.
no subject
[That suits him. She isn't sure exactly how much call there is for a radio show about animals here, but... well, she would tune in, if it wasn't inconvenient.]
Perhaps, you could, um, describe what it feels like to touch different kinds of animals...
[Peko that's. That's literally only you who'd be interested in hearing something like that.]
no subject
Though when she makes the suggestion he looks up at her for a few moments, then at the hamsters enjoying their grapes...
And then writes that down. Peko you're kind of adorable.]
That is not a bad idea.
