Hmph. The kirin is a mythical beast of great legend, said to possess the delicate form of a deer, the mighty and intimidating head and mane of the great Chinese dragon, with glistening scales covering its hide and standing on cloven hooves. From its head stand proud horns or antlers and a long ox tail whips gracefully behind it. These pure beasts are said to bring luck and good fortune to any who gaze upon them, and as such they keep themselves sequestered away to merely watch the living around them, defending any living creature and thing of pure spirit and revealing themselves only to those who are worthy.
