[The word "owner" gets more of a reaction from him than "without human shape". Simply without a human shape could insinuate all sorts of things, but "owner" narrows that list down considerably. A pet? A tool? If he'd once been something more like a Chain, the term "Contractor" would have been the appropriate term.
