Oh, it was absolutely horrid. Some pretend festival of sorts with machinations designed solely to frighten us. I can only call it very impolite. [... Others might describe it differently.] This gathering was arranged by one of our own, Lady Natalia, as a mid-winter celebration of sorts. [Maribelle and Natalia haven't had the best "getting along" experiences so far but she's reasonably sure she's not a villain. She also hasn't spent much time in the gardens so far.]

... A castle might be a tad more comfortable though. [Just a little longing in her voice. Hey, murder aside, Craven Castle was at least a very nicely designed estate and much more familiar than the architecture in Cerealia as far as Maribelle's concerned.]
