It's really disorienting when you're already part of a conflict and then you wake up here and learn about some other, unrelated one coming in and flipping your game board. When I was taken from the code, I had just found my best friend passing out a coma. Until I found him here, okay, that was so upsetting!
Anyway, if you took the hit for them, then at least you know you protected your friend. From there, you just try to keep faith that they could escape or handle the fight from there. You gave them a chance, right?
