meta aside, he'd long noticed the boy falling from the sky there. the gust of wind was what tipped him off, the sounds of descent as someone grabs a railing bar. he'd been just blitzing through the area, actually-- there's no point in trying to kill the things when you can just outrun them, and he can pretty much run forever, so -- but the sound of a human trying to escape elves keeps him there. he's forged to protect humans, and he'd be remiss to go against his calling. a quick glance up above the stairs show that the rather annoying little party-pooper elves were beginning to find their way down. ]
