You don't need to say it like that, Peko-chan. [He seems to regain some of his good humor as he gives her a smile and seems to belatedly remember that he was heating up water for her tea. Ah. He goes to get that first and brings out a small basket full of an assortment of tea to set in front of her so that she can pick something out.

Then, he continues as he pours the water into a cup--]

If I need something from you, I'll ask you -- like family. You're not a tool for anyone anymore. And you can ask the same thing of me too. If you need something from Sousei, I'll get that too. [He laughs faintly.] I hate shady business...

But if you ever need anything, just ask. I'll get it taken care of, whatever it is.
