What: We didn't want to clog the comments on the log with Anakin making sure that Tahiri is a functioning person on the log.

[ Alien planet. Sure, why not. Tahiri hadn't paid close attention during the presentation, didn't understand why anyone couldn't just grab a ship and leave, but she was having trouble actually caring about that at the moment. Well. She cared she just didn't see any urgency in worrying about it. It didn't feel like a kidnapping, not by Yuuzhan Vong or any other aliens, so. So there was that.

Getting shoved onto something called a bus, Tahiri takes a seat near the back and just... casually bonks her head against the window, leaning against the cool glass. She knows she should be more concerned or maybe excited (though who would be excited after being casually yanked from wherever they were to this unknown planet), but can't bring herself to quite care. All she can think is-- Anakin would be interested in this bus thing. and I wish Anakin could see this city. But Anakin is dead, so he can't. ]

[ She promises not to break the newly fixed body, but it deserves a bruise or two for what she's been through. ]

Good, your jokes aren't even that great. [ Her voice still sounds cracked, but she tries to give him a grin as well. Tahiri notes he doesn't promise to not sacrifice himself again, which isn't surprising since Anakin is Anakin, but if the situation arises she won't let the past be repeated. She's not sure she could survive Anakin dying a second time. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. My arm was broken when-- [ we retrieved your body. She cuts off. Clears her throat. ] Are you okay? [ Since you were really dead. ]

Your arm was broken? [ This seems more distressing to him than asking if he's okay - and Anakin doesn't even know the answer - to the point where he drops her fist and attempts to drop her hand - solely so he can check over her arms. If he can even get the hand she's clutching away from her, otherwise he'll do it one-handed.

After ascertaining there isn't a break any longer, there's a pause and a nod. ]

Just a scar. [ Let's...not talk about how he's doing mentally, although he'd fully accepted his death and met it calmly, so he's better than he could be. Probably better than Tahiri. It's being alive again that's throwing him for a loop. ]

It's not broken anymore. [ And no, he can't get the hand she's clutching. He's never getting that one back. ]

A scar. [ That's better than being dead.

A pause. She's having trouble finding words to say-- again, a rare problem for her. But she doesn't want to talk about his death and at the same time wants to berate him for it but also wants to pretend it never happened but they clearly can't do that.

She finally releases Anakin's hand, just so she can wrap both arms around him, tightly. ]

[ Someday he'll need it back,, Tahiri.

There's a brief second where he tenses when she leans forward - another punch? - but no, it's a hug. And while the pause lasts an instant longer, Anakin's soon enough hugging her back, perhaps a little too tightly. He hadn't expected that he would see Tahiri again - not for a very long time. ]

Hey, [ But he has no idea where he wants to go from there, what to say next; it just feels like one of them should be talking at any given time, and if Tahiri isn't taking up the task... ] I'm not going anywhere.

[ Not for now. ]

[ Nope, sorry Anakin but this hand is now property of Tahiri. As is possibly the rest of you. She buries her face in his shoulder, and her voice is muffled by his shirt. ]

You better not, or else I'll have to come after you. [ Don't go where she can't follow. Then you'd have to rescue her from rescuing you, and what a mess that would be.

Lifting up her head, in a lighter tone, ] Though, it looks like we're both going somewhere on this bus vehicle.

[ Ah, yes, the whole...bus thing. Anakin had kind of been focused on Tahiri and has been ignoring the narrated tour. He snorts, amused at the topic change, but he can't blame her.

He hasn't said the words "I died" yet, either. ]

Apparently. I hear there's going to be food wherever we're going - have you eaten recently?

[ He somehow doesn't think she has. ]

[ If the topic didn't change they'd probably end up crying, or something. There might already be a couple of tear stains on your shirt, sorry Anakin. ]

Yes. No. Probably. Have you eaten recently?

[ ... the answer is probably no since he's been dead, and Tahiri regrets it. ]

Hopefully it's not weird food. Who knows what people eat here.

[ None of them ate well on the mission, and yeah no he hasn't eaten since, you know. The entire. Death thing...he's not going to say a word about the tear stains. Tahiri's earned the right to cry on him over the course of their friendship. ]

There seem to be a lot of humanoids, so I expect there's going to be something we can eat.

[ Don't be picky, Veila. ]

[ She also earned the right to cry on him because he died. ]

I would hope so! Otherwise everyone is going to be hungry. But I hope it's at least good, you know? It could be weird meat from weird aliens we haven't even seen, or processed differently, who even knows.

[ She doesn't really care that much about what they eat, but it's something to talk about. ]

Have you met any of these humanoids, or sensed anyone we know? I haven't, there's a lot of strangers.

[ And yet he's still okay with that in a way - he's accepted that, because, hey. All of the people he loved survived that, hadn't they? Tahiri's chatter flows over Anakin like it always does, and he doesn't even complain about not being able to get a word in edgewise. He's almost given that up, but for teasing.

This question, at least, invites a pause. ]

Jaina and Jacen aren't around, but...

[ A tilt of his head to one side, as though listening. ]

...I think Mom's here. Can't sense anyone else. [ Han's lack of connection to the Force has always made him hard to find. ]

Huh, that's weird. Isn't it? There are a lot of people around, strange that there aren't more we know. More Jedi, or something. [ tiny pause. ] Well, I guess not really weird. Everyone looks like they could be from all kinds of places, don't they? There's more humanoids than anything else, though.

[ Tahiri switches to looping her arm through his, keeping a hold on him. ]

Can you tell where your mom is?

I can't pin her down exactly. She feels...different? It was easier to find you. You're closer, and we...

[ He'd know her Force signature anywhere. It wouldn't matter how much she'd changed, he thinks; Tahiri's been through too much with him for him not to be able to find her. It was easier this time than the last time, at least. ]

Anyway, if she's here, dad might be as well.

It's a start at least, so we aren't completely stranded alone on this place. Though I think we'd be fine just the two of us if we had to.

[ Neverminding that time they were with several people and SOMEONE went and died anyway. ]
