Who: Pascal
rubyinferno & Hubert
omurice
When: 05/21 OOC - 01/08 IC (before the Intro Log)
Where: The repair shop Pascal works at.
What: Hubert is a lost puppy that follows Pascal places sometimes.
Rating/Warning: Rated PG for the Super High School Level Tsundere, Hubert Oswell.
[ Pascal can often be found in the repair shop. In fact she rarely ever leaves. She would probably stay there day in and day out if she could but the owner often kicks her out. After all the longer she sticks around the more he has to pay her... even if Pascal never asks for money. She even forgets to take the money she earns sometimes but her boss is nice enough to never take advantage of that.
Currently such a thing is taking place with the large, burly man give her a stern talking to and trying to get her to go home already. Largely his motivation is to get her to go take a bath because honestly.
Pascal is barely listening though and she waves a hand at him dismissively, focused pretty intensely on a black cube in front of her. She's tinkering with it, using some tools to poke and prod it. The man looms over her, expression irritated. ]
Just a few more minutes, jeez. I've almost got this, I swear!

So he invites himself in to her workplace, noting for a bit he couldn't find anyone, then hearing her unique voice resonating throughout the facility. Makes it pretty easy to spot her -- in which he also sees the man looming over her while she's working. He can halfway guess why he's upset. She is an overworker and if given the choice, she'd choose to live there unpaid. (Un)fortunately, this society doesn't allow for volunteer service as such.
Hubert's action is to stand between the man and Pascal.]
Excuse me, is there something the matter here?
[Crossing his arms like the overprotective not!boyfriend he is.]

Heya, Hu! Fancy seeing you here.
[She seems unfazed by the situation and the large man glares with irritation at Hubert. He might have just told him off but upon seeing Pascal's reaction he figures they must be acquaintances.] "Yeah, there is. She needs to get lost already, that's what. I told her a thousand times. If you're a friend of hers make her scat or I will." [It sounds threatening but his tone is exasperated rather than angry.
Pascal scoffs and waves her hands.] Hey, hey! I said in a minute, boss man! I just gotta finish this! C'mon!
"That was three hours ago!"

Let us go, Pascal. I'm sure that whatever you're working will be there in the morning just as you left it.
[He's not there to make her boss mad, and he'll take it as an excuse to spend time with her like the lost puppy he is.] I'll be sure to see her out, sir.
[And he's not taking no as an answer.]

But seriously, everyone thanks you for this... Girl needs a bath. And probably sleep. .... And food.
She whines but offers no resistance when Hubert drags her to her feet, forcing her to drop her tools as she's pulled away from her workspace. Her boss looks pretty relieved.] "Fine, whatever. Just get her out of here." [And then he grumbles something and leaves them be, needing to attend to other matters at the moment.
But I was almost done... [she complains, pouting. Rude... Anyone else would've probably had very little success but exception is Hubert, her sister and probably Sophie. She follows him though and doesn't offer any more protests after that.]
Aww... Huh, hey. What're you doing here anyway, Hu?

[Okay, so that's mostly a lie? He just really wanted to see her and he knows her work habits to the point that he knew that she'd still be at her workplace. Though thankfully, he has the excuse of her boss to cover himself considering he was about to do just anything to get rid of her.] Anyway, since we're out, should we get some takeout and then go to your place?
[Because he's not going to make anyone suffer her stench in a regular restaurant.]

But now that he mentions food she perks up.] Y'okay! I'm totally starving. I haven't eaten anything in forever. [Well maybe in a little less than 12 hours so not actually that bad but... she's definitely hungry.] There's a pretty good place near by. I go there all the time.
[She smiles and it's a bit more genuine than her usual perkiness.] Thanks for worrying though, Hu. I appreciate it.

If you say it's good, then I have no objections. [Though he wouldn't be surprised if it were some banana based restaurant. He would be surprised if it had nothing to do with bananas or at least didn't have an excellent banana cream pie.
At her thanks, Hubert does pause for a moment, blushing, as he finds himself flustering quite a bit.]
W-well, I suppose if I didn't worry about you, then no one would.
[Wow, way to be rude, Hubert, implying she has no other friends here...]

She tugs on his arm to half drag him along, quickening her steps.] I dunno but I'm grateful either way. Hey, I'll even buy the food as thanks, okay?
[Well it isn't banana based but once they approach the tiny, pink colored shop on the corner of the street it's clear they probably have banana desserts there. It's a tiny café selling mostly desserts but they sell sandwiches and salads too. They also seem unperturbed when Pascal pops in, use to seeing her and, undoubtedly, use to her smell too.]
