[ He's carefully staying exactly where he has been, watching and getting impressed despite himself. (What? It's cool.) He shuts one eye against the breeze when it runs his bangs under the frames of his glasses, but besides that it's like there's nothing even happening right in front of him. (Which is really cool.)

When the wind dies down, he leaves his questionably useful hiding spot behind. ]

Thanks. It got the drop on me, so I kinda... [ Freaked out like an idiot? ] panicked. [ Same thing. ]

[ He's actually pretty much physically fine, but he eyes his rescuer with the giant sword kind of suspiciously. ]

[ Goodbye, gross monster, he won't miss you one bit. He nods slowly at the message, turning his eyes up toward Shigeru with one corner of his mouth lifted. ]

Good idea, I don't want to be dealing with more of them... I'll be fine, just don't make me do cartwheels.

Ah, and I'm--Miyuki.

[ Slowly, he moves to trail in the direction opposite from where his pursuer had retreated, unless Shigeru has somewhere special in mind. ]

[ Said straight-faced, so dry it has to be a joke.

He snickers, which kind of ruins it. ]

If there's more than one we'll split up. Less likely to get skewered together.

[ He pauses, craning his neck in the direction of distant noises, and turns, putting a hand on Kuramochi's shoulder to push him if he doesn't follow.

He lowers his voice a little. ]

I think it's far enough off we're fine, but better safe than sorry.

I killed some monstrosity that sought to kill me, and the next thing I know it is my brother's corpse before me instead.

[And he just nudges the body again with his hoof to roll it over, scowling at it.It's not even moving and it's causing problems for him.]

Do you really believe that the first thing I would do, should my brother arrive here, would be to seek him out?

[ Zura is indeed heavier than he looks, but besides a bit of a grunt and a resettling of his weight, he seems to be fine. ]

You better not drop my weapon!

[ He's not going to dump you and run, Katsura, geez. They're a little slower than he would be alone, but what were all those years of baseball drills if it meant he's not able to do some running with an idiot on his back?

Distantly, he does notice the difference in Katsura's legs, and files it away. It explained his hobbling, but it's not important when he's crossing the forest floor, trying to be as confusing as possible.

How successful he's being at it is up in the air, but it's possible their cute friend is getting farther away. Maybe?! ]

[ he pauses, blinking once or twice. that was easy.

and then he grins, filing that away for later reference. ]

[ she's not the only shameful one around here. ]

[ He rubs at the back of his neck. ]

[ She let out a tiny huff and kept the same irritated tone. ] I do not know what you would do should he arrive.

Don't worry!

[ And with that, he's running off not so much into the fray as he is running tangentially to it. His new weapon helps him feel secure, and since he looks like he means business, nobody seems to be targeting him. But he's making his way to the guarded exit in a very roundabout way, not wanting them to see him coming head-on.

He just sort of disappears behind an overturned table for a moment, one that seems to be the final resting place of a few unfortunate players, then emerges from behind it unarmed with a tear in his pant leg and what looks to be a lot of blood smeared all over his leg. With a limp, he hobbles in the direction of the exit, doing his best to look like he's trying to avoid detection.

Sure enough, the NPCs start to turn their attention to him. It looks like they've caught what looks like an easy kill. ]

Gaaaaah! It's not fair for you bastards to gang up on someone who's injured like that!

[ He starts limp-running away from them back toward the table, where he happened to leave his weapon tucked away, as he gets pursued by three of the five opponents, who seem to be in no hurry to catch him. The other two stay at their post, but two guys armed with a battleaxe and a crowbar? He's willing to bet his new friend can take care of that. ]

[ He almost wants to be offended by that comment. Almost. It's a little hard to be offended when it's so clearly the truth, or when the guy saying it is going out of his way to be generous to him.

He feels like he should add that it's not that he hasn't fought before, just that he's only fought alongside the best friends and allies he could ask for. Together, they were greater than the sum of their parts, but on his own, he can't even hold a candle to them. ]

You don't need to apologize. I was trying to steal something... just a little bit so that nobody would miss anything, but for all you knew, I could've been trying to kill people in their sleep.

[ It's blunt, but honesty is probably the best policy right now. He sighs and props his elbows on his knees, resting his head in his hands. ]

There are things I'd fight for, but some stupid game like this isn't one of them.

[ He blinks a few times, surprised by what he's actually being asked to do. He figured that with that kind of power, someone would be pretty much untouchable, or maybe have some kind of superhuman powers or something. But now that he sees the limp, he feels kind of silly. ]

Oh... um, sure. I guess you shouldn't be putting any weight on it...

[ He steps back almost sheepishly, offering a shoulder for him to lean on. Being slowed down might suck, but he's not the type of person to leave someone who's injured behind, even without magical powers that can more than make up for the disadvantage. ]

Here, try to move with me. You can keep doing that thing that sends people flying, right?

I'll be more careful and I apologize for putting you into danger.

[She was just hitting buttons at random! Not like she actually intended to hurt Yata. ]

Was it a trap that I set off?

[ she spins and flashes him a peace sign before actually saying her name. ]

[ it's a good thing he doesn't curse around women. ]

It is as you think it is, I can use my blade to cut away illnesses or any malady. Are you in need of healing right now?

[His expression is as if Miyuki was the strange one, and that people don't usually rely on giant holy swords to get rid of their sicknesses.]

[He straightens himself, and takes his focus off of the corpse, and turns it to Tyrande, appearing at least somewhat offended.]

Do you really believe that I would hunt him down and slay him? I may have no love for my brother, but that does not change what he is.

[Of course he is unaware that in his future, once he hit his decline, that would likely change.]

Do you see any of them before you? I am ageless, not an all powerful god. I cannot strike at that which is not before me.

[That was not for a lack of trying of course, but hunting proved to be far harder in the city. Not to mention he loathed the city, and often called it quits after a short time. There were only so many automatic sliding doors he could take in a given day.

Hux's last remark, managed to get a smirk out of him again though. Oh he loved it when little things tried bossing him around.]

[ At least this being was honest about not being a God, that had to count for something later on when Hux recalls the meeting with some hindsight. As for ageless...Well, Hux can't see the appeal of it personally. It isn't something he'll be holding Illidan to high standard on.]

Then do not assume that I will suddenly be able to strike at them either. [ His comment may have been a threat, but only in the vaguest of senses. This one is obviously a fight he can't win should it turn physical and it seems that Illidan is just itching for it to turn that way.

Then again in a simulation like this, it isn't as if they need a reason and Hux turns his nose up slightly at the whole thing.]

More a suggestion if you feel up to arguing the semantics of it all.

[He hopes not. But then, it's not a huge leap from some of the crazy things he went through in the Digital World, even if none of them were quite so sadistic as this.]

I'm new too. All I've got so far is that we're in some sort of video game with levels and stuff.

[he sounds... probably a little too confident about that. but hey, you have to be confident when you're playing with fire, right?]

I just wanted to make sure we could put some space between us first, that's all. [the walls of flame will die down after a moment though; they're not made to last very long, but it's fine with him. he's ready to gear up for some more concentrated attacks. but he's not going to leap in without making sure everything is else is clear first.]
