[ Phase I. ]

[ To someone who'd lived with her mother for a very long time, Mary (not given much of a choice in the matter) had opted for a female tutor. Except after the third round of Hilda brushing aside her hair to purposely breathe on her neck, she's had enough.

Meaning if you look at the desk where there once sat a small, white-haired young girl, the chair is now empty.

Because the small, white-haired young girl is now huddled underneath the desk, looking absolutely petrified. Try not to startle her too badly, or she'll probably smack her head on the underside of her hiding spot. Or do. It could be funny. ]

[ Phase II. ]

[ Given the time, Mary could wax philosophical about the irony of a monster chasing a monster. But she's not the type, and the monster lady is ever so sweetly rampaging through the hallway. When she's not running for her life, she's frantically looking from side to side, desperate for a familiar face. She may not be that useful of an ally, but if your tutor is about to seductively bite your head off, she may suddenly appear, frazzled and panting. If you're in a position where you can see her eyes, you may also notice the irises change from pink to red when she stares at your former tutor.

And your former tutor will freeze. Not for long, just for a few minutes, but it's something.

Granted, then Mary will trip or slip on something and go down in a heap of hair, so yeah, not the most impressive ally here. Who said all medusae were badass? ]

[ Bonus. ]

[ So, the thing is. Mary has finally reached this Ceresmcwhatsit. And currently, she is standing outside of it. Staring at it.

And if you're passing by, and she spots you, she'll duck behind one corner of the building before she speaks up. ]

E-e-excuse me!
