singinghuntress: (happy hunting)

Who: Rip and OPEN
When: During the Event [Especially the blackout]
Where: Around
What:  Rip wants to be one of the things that goes bump in the night.
Rating/Warning: PG-13/R for possible violence? Rip is not a nice person.

Technology becoming a hassle? Rip didn't care. She could do just fine without it. But, when the blackout started... She got excited. Her excitement grew when the sounds of creatures stalking the darkness made themselves known to her. A faint brush against her shoulder.. the feeling of breath against the nape of her neck and turning around to see that there was no one there. Every little bit called to her to go out and play! Rip didn't need to think twice about what she wanted to do, the darkness was a vampire's friend and she was just as much at home in it as in the light. Perhaps.. a little more so.

After making sure her dog was secure within her sparse apartment, Rip took to the streets. It was time to have a little fun her way... no strange computer games! Rip was on the hunt to scare people while she could~.  Sadly, it was the only type of hunting she could do at the moment... not the type she truly wanted, but, a hunt was a hunt no matter what limitations there were.

Rip could can be found all around the place lurking in the dark and stalking random people.  Does anyone feel as if they are being stalked~? Do they hear strange humming coming from out of nowhere~? It might be Rip... who knows~.

[Keep it cool, keep it cool. There were definitely footsteps behind him, but nothing. . . nothing was happening yet. If anything, it could just be another person. More likely, it was something this city itself was doing; yeah, he'd heard about Christmas-time, vaguely. It definitely felt like this was on purpose -- the city going dark, the shadows and shapes flickering in and out of sight -- and those footsteps. ]

. . . Oi.

[He'll stop. He's terrified, but he'll stop and put on most nonchalant attitude. After all, even if he was afraid, whatever it was, it was just screwing with him, and that was more irritating than anything.]

Can't you sing a better song? There's one, and it goes like. . .charaaaa hecharaaaa . . . hmmmmm hmmm. . .

[He'll start walking, humming the song to himself and singing a few of the words.]

. . . urutora-z . . . hmm hmm hmm. . . Aye - yi yi yi yi sparking-- Hmmm hmm hmmm hmmmmmnnnnmmmm fly awaaaaaay. . .

[And he'll keep taking those careful steps home, humming his own tune.]

[Maybe it was a mistake by her, or a mistake by him, but the second Gintoki feels something on his arm he'll turn on a dime, fast -- maybe a bit too fast, although he's also turning around with a swing of his wooden sword, he can't really see where anything is, and he'll stumble over one of his own boots, falling back to sit on his own butt with a wince.]

OI, NOT FUNNY! SERIOUSLY NOT FUNNY! I'm gonna go home, and you're gonna go home, and we're gonna pretend like I never saw you and you never saw me! Got it! Go home and make some hell instant noodles and sit down and think things over for awhile! Dont' be that kinda ghost! Oi, are you listening!?

[Yeah he's still pointing his wooden sword in the general direction of behind him; maybe he hit her, maybe not. It's dark.]
pachintoki: (look here you)

[He'll grind his teeth a little; if anything he was just relieved. Hearing someone's voice actually there meant, to him, that it was just a person and not the ghosts he'd been almost-seeing this entire time in the dark. While his vision may have adjusted some, it was still pretty difficult to see anything else around him that wasn't very close -- and even then he could't make anything out specifically. It had been a long time since he'd been anywhere this dark.

She might not have been able to see the irritation on his face as he gets to his feet, but maybe she'll hear it in his voice; he'll also start walking again, taking a few steps back before turning around.]

Playtoy? You wanna play? Go get a robot dog. Or better, yet, the pet store is full of dog toys. Play fetch by yourself.

[He's rude, but only a jerk would scare someone in the dark, Rip.]
pachintoki: (what the ever living %$#@ are you doing)

[Siiigh. No, nothing was worse than ghosts for Gintoki, except maybe his landlady when the rent was due. As scary as a troll hoarding money.

Still, he wasn't completely at ease, not by a long shot. Just because whoever this person was wasn't a ghost - probably - didn't mean that they weren't going to be a pain in the ass. He'll still firmly hold his sword, looking back after Rip's taunt.]

Aah? Most dogs, you know, they're happy enough with the squeaky kind.

[As he's talking, he has the thought to take his CeresVice out and open it up -- didn't it have a light? He'll turn it on, then turn around all the way and shine the small light at whoever was talking to him. At least, in the general direction. Well, at least he had a flashlight.]

pachintoki: (hangover or just your voice)

[personal profile] pachintoki 2015-06-16 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[He'll keep his phone out for now, at least using it to see what he could. He'll only catch a glimpse of something there, moving. After a moment of looking, he'll keep walking.]

Oi oi oi, you know, what's with someone who follows people in the dark. Are you bored? Are you a stalker? I really don't need another stalker. I seriously already had a stalker on Earth and she was annoying as hell.

What's your deal, hah? [who are you]

[He'll ruffle at his fluffy white hair some with his fingers, shuffling along the street, practically talking to himself unless she cares to answer.]

[just fiddling with his phone, then, until that.

He'll nearly drop it, fumbling with it then snapping it closed as he catches it. Come on phone; you're his only light right now, and that was damn unnerving. He'll catch his breath a little before complaining bitterly, glaring with some disgust at the darkness. ]

Now you're being a bully; an annoying bully. What a pain. . .if you wanna play a game, at least wait until the lights come on. Someone will trip and hurt themselves, right?

[He really hated being messed with.]

Or like, maybe we can play hide and seek? I'll count, and you can hide, and I'll find you. If I can't find you, you win. What about that?

[and she will win, since he won't even look. On the other hand, his steps will pick up considerably after the creepy ear thing. Ugh.]
pachintoki: (shut-UP)

[He could tell, mostly, from her voice that she was female, but right now Gintoki is still not sure if this is just something weird from the city, or from ViViD, or if it's actually someone else here. The brief bit of light gives him a better look at her, and he notes that she's tall - a good couple inches taller than him, at least -- and maybe wore glasses.

And had really, really sharp teeth. He's already backing away when the flame goes out he's just going to make a run for it. He knew from yesterday that lately, even the monsters from ViViD could hurt you enough, and he wasn't going to stick around any longer.

Maybe running from someone who said they wanted to hunt was a bad idea, in hindsight. ]

N-nevermind! You count first!

[Yeah, he's really running. The most bravest protagonist.]

[He wasn't sure what she was, but at the point, and with his phone now as a light, he's heading straight for the apartment where he'd been told he should live -- it definitely wasn't home for him, but it was home in this place.

He'll keep going for as long as he can, but eventually he'll have to stop, doubled over as he catches his breath. Looking around as much as he can, he'll at least be able to tell he's in at the edge of the gardens; the sky is more visible here and he can also see Cerealia's two moons, so it isn't nearly as dark as it had been on the streets of the city.

The gardens meant that his apartment building also wasn't too far away, once he's caught his breath, Gintoki will walking again, unless whoever - whatever - was bothering him was going to talk again.

He'll even start humming and occasionally singing the words to that song he was humming earlier, just to take his mind off of being a little nervous. There was still the odd shadow or shade, ghosts - or something made to look like ghosts - in the darkness.]

fly awaaay [lots of humming here; maybe he just hasn't bothered to learn the words . .or something. . . ]. . . ch-ch-charaaaa. . . heccharaaaaa . . .

[And sometime during that, a call is accidentally made. He's not so awesome at this technology thing.]

pachintoki: (Gin-san is skeptical)

[personal profile] pachintoki 2015-06-22 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Unless she does something more, he'll just quickly make his way home. If she leaves him alone long enough Gintoki will start to wonder if maybe she was just a ghost in the darkness, or a monster from the city or ViViD. His humming will grow quieter and quieter as he makes his way through the gardens. He'd walked them a few times during the daylight just to get out of his apartment.]

[As long as nothing was attacking him, Gintoki is going to steadily make his way home. Once he reaches the apartment district and his building, he'll give one more last look into the darkness.]

Hey, I wanna know something, if you're even there anymore. Are you still there, shadow lady?

Are you, you know. . . real, or are you part of the computer game?
