[ The broadcast comes bright and early for those paying attention to their CereVices; the man who appears on the screen is strikingly pale, white-haired and piercingly blue-eyed. He looks young, no more than nineteen or twenty and he's dressed in a crisp black and white suit. He stares into the screen for a long moment, long enough to be, frankly, just a bit uncomfortable.▶ ACTION.EXE | IC: 1/26
And then white eyelashes blink and an awkward, unsure smile spreads across his face. He lifts a hand to fix his tie and speaks. ]
This is Mosley.
[ The smile drops, leaving him with a blank expression once again. ]
CERES has decided in a show of good faith to open our doors to you. I have been given the task of, [ He lifts his hands to emphasize with air quotes. ] "being your tour guide." If that is what I must do, so be it. The lazy worm does not get the apple, after all.
[ He looks down at the tablet on his desk, giving it a few taps and suddenly an icon appears on the bottom right hand of the video. ]
That link will bring you to a listing to make an appointment. You will be given a time. Show up promptly or do not, it is no matter to me. The tour will leave ten minutes after your given time and that will be that. Tours will only last a few hours so you needn't worry about the rest of your day. You will certainly return home in time to catch the latest episode of [ Air quotes again. ] "Banana is the New Black." I hear there's going to be a cliffhanger!
[ A pause and he looks oddly thoughtful. ]
I suppose you could also steal it off the internet? [ Blank again. ] Which would be wrong. Our lawyers will contact you if you do that. Do not.
[ And then another of those awkward smiles before quickly turning into something a bit startled and he taps his tablet again, ending the video. Replies to this feed have been disabled, unfortunately. Seems like someone isn't feeling very chatty. It's a miracle. ]
[ The next day, that Monday, those who take Mosley up on his offer will find that him standing there right in front of the main CERES office building, waiting. It’s with that same disconcerting smile that he unlocks the door and ushers them in.
Welcome, all of you, to our lovely CERES!
The group will find themselves standing in a lobby. Clean white walls and floors, a bright blue rug leading towards the elevators on the far wall, and a white reception counter. At the counter are two CERES robots answering calls and directing any visitors (though the lobby seems quite empty today) and on the wall behind them is a hologram of the CERES logo for all to see. Mosley stands in the center of the carpet in his usual suit and claps his hands together, putting on a smile. ]
Welcome to CERES.
[ And then the smile drops. Voice flat, he continues. ]
There has been... talk over the past few months that we at CERES have not been working 24/7 to help you, our clientele, return to your homes safely and soundly. There has also been... talk that we do not do anything. That this entire company is a farce, which is honestly quite hurtful to both me and the other hardworking staff at this company. Mr. Vincere had his way of running this place but Ms. Recreare is fond of a more hands on approach. We want to share that approach with you.
[ He spreads his hands to indicate to the building around them. ]
CERES has many fingers in many jars and they've all been sealed tight for a while. We would like to open those jars. So once again, welcome to CERES and please follow me.
[ After that, Mosley turns and begins to lead the group off. ]

There is no tagging order, so feel free to tag in whatever way works best for you as a group.
The tours will technically last 3 hours icly, but that may change as ic events happen; oocly, the threads will last as long as necessary, though Mosley will come and collect your characters if they are moseying around too long! There will be mod involvement in each of the tours.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask them here. You are welcome to plot with your groupmates by using the ooc top level comments linked above. Thank you!

You can fight at range with the energy I saw against the tentacled monster. I cannot leap high enough to catch one mid-flight, and I do not think he is capable of much, either.
[S...orry, Jaune.]
So if one can be persuaded toward the ground...
no subject
Guys? N-Not that I mind being the bait, but whatever we decide, we best do it now!
no subject
Oh, and they breathe fire, which it now demonstrates by spewing a stream of the stuff at Jaune and Peko on the ground.
That's nice.
As if oblivious to their peril, the intern continues to speak. ]
Well, better the code people than the rest of us, I guess... Mr. Vincere seems really set on this business venture and all, and we need them for it to work.
Still....don't they seem a little weird?
no subject
[ Thankfully his shield is big enough for him to cower in absolute terror behind it, but the flames are so hot that the heat of the shield practically singes his arm. The damage would be worse if not for his Aura, but that won't last forever and he's still new to controlling it.
He's close enough for Peko to jump behind it as well, unless she already dodged the dragon's attack. Either way, it looks like they're the bait?? Ouch. ]
no subject
[Oh, that is nice. Looks like both of them are the bait now. Peko glances at Jaune and Rio just for an instant to make sure she doesn't have to shove either of them out of the way, then dodges in the opposite direction with a diving roll. It's close enough that she can feel the heat against her back as she holds the flat of her blade in such a way to avoid impaling herself on it, then jumps back to her feet.
Hopefully Jaune's shield and Aura is enough to catch the dragon's attention so that Peko can at least try to leap up to go for a foot or a wing on its downbeat, if it's close enough that a mostly-normal athletic human can reach. Otherwise, she'll just focus on dodging its fire.]
no subject
Fine. I suppose I'll just have to out-bait both of you.
[Her Barian body, she thinks, is durable enough to withstand a couple rounds of it, or so she can surmise. Even if it freaks her out and reminds her of... certain unfortunate incidents. It's still something she can take if she tries... right? In an effort to make the dragon think she is the biggest immediate threat here, she lobs off a few blasts at its face and eyes -- if she blinds it, all the better, but if not, then she'll bring out some bigger, icier guns.]
no subject
Unforutnately, said flail will cause its clawed foot to lash right out into Peko's path as she tries to attack it.
A moment later, it does decide to focus on the biggest threat here, which it now considers to be Rio. The dragon roars again, and then lifts off, wings beating as it somewhat erratically tries to fly at her. It's off, though; it seems the attempt to blind it worked. ]
no subject
His aiming may not be the best, but thankfully the dragon is big enough for it not to be an issue as he attempts to unload a few rounds at its wings. ]
no subject
Yeah, she's trying to still shove herself to her feet to fight, but while she's a fantastic, almost super-human swordswoman, she is still, regretably, a completely normal human, with only slightly-above-average pain tolerance. So it's slow, but she's making her way in a staggering run to try to still attack the dragon as best she can.]
no subject
Peko...
Jaune wonders if he were a better leader, maybe this whole disaster could have been avoided. Their plan was solid, but he should have stepped up and taken charge instead of leaving it up for debate. He won't make that mistake again, though, these girls must have important people to come back to, after all.
When Peko starts closing in on their enemy, Jaune decides to follow after her. Staggering as much as she is, but determined to step in if another strike is aimed at his current teammate. ]
no subject
Come! Sylphine!
[An ice-encrusted bird beast spirals into the air from the summon, and Rio wastes no time putting her to work.]
Keep it distracted! Ice Ray!
[From above, Sylphine shoots off a rain of sharp projectile icicles concentrated at the dragon's back. In the meantime, while it's focused on her, she shoots another few blasts of energy from the ground, trying her best to keep the thing's concentration on her.]
no subject
Of course, there are more dragons, but perhaps for better or for worse, that's when they get interrupted by their friendly intern. ]
Anyway, it sounds like my job here is done for a bit and I'll be able to go home. That's a relief, really. I'm not sure I want to know what Mr. Vincere is up to now. I've always known CERES was a business focused on profit and these people may just be code but... they're a little too close to real people for my tastes. It'd be easy to get that confused, and nobody wants that.
[ Which is when they are all spat right back out of the room once again, just like they were for the first diary experience, and Mosley is there waiting. He holds up a cheese plate. ]
Cheese plate? While we wait for your companions.
no subject
She sways a little as she looks around for another threat, and instead is offered... cheese?]
...
[She doesn't even have an answer to that, reaching behind her to slip her katana back into its sheath within her bag, then collapse back against the nearest wall to grip her injury with her now-free hand. At least she still has a bunch of non-vomity tissues to try to staunch the blood?
It's not going to help, and she absolutely needs stitches, some disinfectant, and like one million bandaid, but she doesn't want to leave until she makes sure Yang (and that Kirkland guy) are alright.]
no subject
Apparently from thin air and right on top of the poor unfortunate group (and cheese plate). Hopefully they're at least missing Peko.
EARTHQUAKES, MAN. ]
no subject
but as he pushes up, he sees Mosley, and he feels sort of ill. it's the kind of sour ill that occurs in your stomach when you did something you know you shouldn't do, and then get caught doing it. yeah, he's a little nervous for what might happen]
no subject
There's a brief moment when Mosley offers them the fingerfood, where Jaune almost feels like he wants to retaliate against the man. He came here to get answers about Pyrrha, and the way everyone feels about Mosley this very minute, nobody would probably miss him if Jaune just pointed his gun at him and demanded to know everything. But Pyrrha wouldn't want that, and ultimately his compassion wins over any thoughts of vengeance, as Jaune just drops in front of Peko and presses against her wound.
As much as he curses CERES for what they went through, blaming Mosley would be the easy thing to do. No, this was probably Jaune's responsibility, for failing to take the initiative back there. ]
Peko... I'm so sorry...
[ And just as he's about to ask Rio for assistance, they are joined by the rest of their cohorts as they seemingly pop out of thin air, looking a little worse for wear as well. Great, now they can all go to the hospital together! ]
no subject
So goes her line of thought until they reappear in front of their previously ill-befallen host. While Yang and England tumble atop Jaune and Peko, she takes note of the injuries of the other group as well, kneels down to help them all collect themselves, and then looks flatly over her shoulder at Mosley. She's particularly concerned about Peko's gashes, but until she can get somewhere that actually has the capacity to treat them...]
I see at least one of us has recovered nicely.
no subject
But if it's all the same to you, [she addresses Mosley,] I'll make my way to the hospital instead of continuing the tour.
[Unlike perhaps the others, she doesn't actually blame Mosley for it per se. After all, they're the ones who wandered into the interactive diaries unaccompanied.]
▶ END TOUR.EXE
. . . STARTING RESET.EXE. . .
[ Perhaps thankfully for them, the tour does end quickly after that. Mosley does look distraught at the fallen cheese plate but he pushes on for the sake of the tour. Everyone's suffered some hardships today! Mosley ushers them all off towards the hospital, where they can be treated oh-so-carefully by the androids there (or the humanoid doctors, if they want to be party-poopers). All of their injuries are as fresh and serious as if they had gotten them in an actual fight with a dragon or an actual earthquake; there is nothing virtual about it, and they will take time to heal.
Likewise, for Yang and England, the fuzziness around their bodies and extremities will remain for approximately 24 hours, and they will have occasional spells of vertigo and struggle breathing (and a craving for cheese) as their code puts itself back to rights.
And later, at once, all CereVices will ring and when they're pulled out, each screen will show a certain robot those may remember from the previous event. He stares at them blankly for a while before a slow smile spreads across his face and then screen turns black. A few seconds pass and suddenly, letter by letter, a message is shown on the screen. ]
[ And then the CereVice goes dead. Unfortunately, it'll still be out of service for the next six hours before turning on again and working just like normal after that. Well, except for the fact that any information on the CereVice recorded during the tour is now gone. Whoops.
Thank you for joining us on CERESTours! ]
