[Immediately following the tour, Mosley had kindly ushered group three to the hospital for their sustained injuries. Peko, having gotten herself hit with the sharp end of a not-so-virtual dragon's claw, had needed to be rushed to get several nasty-looking gashes cleaned and stitched, along with some smaller burns treated. Swords aren't much good against things that can fly and breathe fire, after all.

Some time later, she can be found in the wing tended to by human and humanoid doctors (no androids here, please), seated quietly in one of the beds with her eyes closed as if she's asleep. The heart rate monitor is beeping quietly and steadily, and there's an IV hooked to her right arm to replenish some of the fluid she'd lost from bleeding everywhere earlier. All in all, though, she looks fine! If the ripped and bloody sailor suit in the corner and the fresh white bandages covering her left bicep and peeking out from above the cut of her hospital gown over her chest are any indication. At least the gown is cute, with happy little robots printed in a pattern along the fabric. To promote organic healing, of course!

Before the Cerevice goes down, though, she'll be answering calls with voice and just generally trying to rest and recover in the hospital. She's fine, though, really--!]

[She stays quiet while he explains, just sipping at her water until the glass is empty. Her eyes widen in recognition when he mentions the fire-breathers, though, glancing toward the tattered remains of her sailor suit. That doesn't surprise her at all, that description, and she just nods slowly.]

I see. That makes sense.

[She hums quietly and sets her now-empty glass down, twining her fingers around a strand of hair instead.]

I wonder if any of them are still alive, or if Vincere decided upon a more... permanent way of maintaining his new holdings.

Is he?

[That's a surprise to Peko, though really, it shouldn't be. In fairness, Peko tends to operate on her own anyway, so if Jaune had been giving orders that made sense, she'd have followed them, but in the absence of them, she'd be fine, too.]

Are you and he something like classmates, then?

[Since Yang had said they'd come from the same place, after all.]

[She is the cutest hampancake, isn't she? The kind that everyone wants to pet and love! Nobody could resist her, a fact that the hamster is very well aware of. Not because Gundam coos to her all the time about this, oh no. Purely because of her clairvoyance. That's all it is.

Just think, Peko. After some practice, you'll be able to pet her while she's facing you. Especially with such a charming smile like that. Even if it is just the start of one, that is already a much better smile than your previous ones...

She's not the only hamster that wants attention though. At some point, Maga-Z poked his head out to watch the entire thing and he's feeling pretty neglected. That's okay though, it's just a matter of making his way down the breeder's scarf and jumping from there to the bed. An easy task one of the Devas.

Scampering up the sheet is another matter though, this takes a little work...]

The more I think about it, I almost wonder if...that thing Cerberus killed might have been a water one. Like...maybe they DID finally find one but never got around to updating their notes.

[He's not sure he hopes this is the case though...]

But, if I had to guess, he either sent them packing after taking their land or killed them. I mean...this is the first I've ever heard of this. If he just assimilated them, you'd think we would have heard something about elementals by now. Or at LEAST the fire or earth ones, since they seem to be more common...

[Maga-Z, do you need some help with that? Here...Kuzuryuu will give you a hand. Before you fall off and hurt yourself on the cold tile or something. He's pretty sure Gundam wouldn't like that.]

[There we go. Now you're on the bed, be free little ham. Go do...whatever it was you were planning to do here.

[twO HAM SHE IS BLESSED THIS DAY. More weird Peko noises as she starts to reach with her other hand for the other hamster -- and immediately hisses in pain because ow, no, that other hand is not going very far, alright, mistake.

She has two ham and one hand, this is not fair. How could this happen to her, Peko Pekoyama?! This is so distressing.]

[Well...unfortunately, Peko, Maga-Z hasn't gotten to know you very well yet. And while he's not as much of a scaredy cat as, say, Cham-P, he's not the bravest of the hams either. And he remembers how intense you are. So this little ham scurries off, hiding quickly somewhere behind Kuzuryuu.

You need Jum-P, the second bravest ham (when it comes to Peko Pekoyama), but he's still napping. Maybe the fat dragon peeking his head out will be enough to start rousing the sleeping Deva though. Give it a little time.]

[It takes another 24 hours for him to finally visit her in the hospital. He's since heard that that's where she is, but it wouldn't have done either of them much good for him to show up completely deaf and unable to hear.

But he's better now.

Just as irritated about the whole thing, but physically better, anyway.

He's quiet as he walks in, arms crossed behind him neatly, posture as straight as ever, and then--]

What is your status?

[you could be a little nicer about it, Sousei--but he thinks that speaking like this is easier for the both of them, and that she of all people will understand him.]

[Wow, look at this scaredy-ham. What a weenie. Kuzuryuu scoops Maga-Z up from where the hamster was hiding behind his leg, letting the hamster sit in the palm of his hand. He starts stroking the hamster's back, similar to what Peko is doing to San-D, only with Maga-Z facing him head on. Since...for whatever reason the hamsters like him and don't think he's scary.]

[Will this calm you down, you little ween?]

I don't know.

[She only hums quietly, glancing toward him again. Whatever happened with that... monster, elemental, thing... she wishes she'd been there. Not because she particularly cared about seeing it, but because Kuzuryuu could have been in a dangerous situation without her.

Then again, she's glad he wasn't in hers.]

But I agree in your assessment. As of now... there is not much that can be done to uncover more information, unless we can manage to return to that area. I'm certain their security will be tighter in the wake of the tours.

[He is not wrong in that assessment, though they could have written stuff down. Welcome to the flower garden, though, Sousei... thanks to Rock Lee, there are more flowers than anyone should have ever thought appropriate for a hospital room.

And also Jaune. He brought one (1) flower he stole from the staff room, compared to Lee's dozens. But he did make an effort!]

Abe. I'm fine.

[She actually appreciates this as she struggles to push herself upright with one hand. It hurts like hell to move, since most movements tug at her stitches, but she isn't going to just lay there when she's being visited. The least she can do is sit up.]

It is difficult to use my left arm, but I can still fight if need be.

[Flowers, flowers everywhere...at least the idea didn't cross his mind, because the last thing Peko needs is more flowers.

Even a sad Jaune flower like that one.]

I see. ...Good, then. Rest and recover until you are again at your full strength. [He nods simply, accepting her status report as the total truth (and hopefully nothing bad will happen, because it's not good if she can't use her left arm, and she's clearly having trouble moving).]

It sounds as though your tour situation was more dangerous than mine.

[Not that there wasn't the threat of death in his, but it involved less injury overall.]

[The thought hadn't passed him by, and he sighs to think of it, bringing his fingers up to his temple. He kneads his fingertips against the surgical scars there, as he's wont to do when he's stressed.]

There's no simple way that we can deal with this.

[Okay, good, at least one hamster is running scared. Peko would be seriously concerned if all of them were able to approach her... maybe it would have had something to do with the hospital itself? But getting to see Kuzuryuu with the Deva...

It's so cute. The pictures from that strange festival could not come close to seeing it in person. She knew animals would like him.]

H-how is this...? [she asks Gundam as she keeps carefully petting San-D. Is her expression good? Is her touch too rough?? Give her advice, ham-master.]

Perhaps there is a way to short them out, or remove them entirely, without removing one's vision...?

[She hisses lightly through her teeth, shaking her head. She just can't be certain, especially when none of them know exactly how to go about shorting these out safely in the first place.]

Your eye... has it improved at all?

[He's... not going to be permanently blind, is he? While, considering the circumstances, it might not be a bad security measure, she's rather of the opinion that it's not quite worth it.]

[A pause, and then a second message,]

I would very much like to attend, once I am able to leave the hospital. Thank you for letting me know.

Yep! We're not on the same team, but we go to the same school - that's Beacon - and he hits on one of my teammates a lot.

... I wanna say he's gotten better.

[ But then he'd hit on Peko, so she's just sighing and sloooowly shaking her head. ]

[ he trails off, looking over her and her injuries from the doorway for a moment before entering the room, brows furrowed. Naturally, he could just look at her sheet to see what the problem is, but that would only tell him the what and not the how. ]

What in the world happened? I heard you were in one of the tours...?

[Hinata moves his head, a gesture that says I don't know.] I want to find a way. [His tone is tight, resolved even if he still feels shaky.

But he passes his fingers over his eye absently.]

I can pick up on light and colour with it... slightly. So it is getting better. It might just need more time.

[ He makes a mental note to prepare something extra when she shows up. Being injured enough to land in the hospital can't be nice. ]

[That's what she was going to do anyway, so she has no problem with that kind of order. Not to mention that Kuzuryuu will throw a fit if she manages to injure herself further by pushing herself too hard (hypocrite), so it's really in everyone's best interest that she heal as quickly as possible, without weird android intervention.

She tilts her head and hums at his assessment that hers was more dangerous. It's hard to say, considering,] We fought dragons in a virtual diary. The rest of combat was nothing worth mentioning, but the dragons were rather formidable.

What happened to you?

[She exhales a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding.]

I see. That is... good to hear.

[Even if it's not a full recovery, being able to have at least something is better than nothing. (Maybe he can wear glasses with her.) (And then someone will have to kill him because there can only be one glasses-character dangan.)]

We'll have to tell the others about this.

[Peko frowns slightly and glances toward one tulip in particular. There's a little folded piece of paper near it, mostly covered in scribbles to cover what would have been words on it. If Yang follows Peko's glance, she might see the corner of a very cute drawing still visible. Hits on one of Yang's teammates...?

Well, no one would hit on her, Peko Pekoyama, so she's not really seeing the connection.]
