[semi-open] did u hear the joke about the dragon
Who:
perfectstrike & anyone who might have cause to try to call Peko to check up on her after the CERESTour!
When: just after the CERESTour into the next day (ic: 1/26-1/27)
Where: CERES Hospital
What: Peko got herself injured during the CERESTour and is patently confused as to why people keep visiting her.
Rating/Warning: Warning for blood and talk about injuries, but nothing gorey or gruesome.
[Immediately following the tour, Mosley had kindly ushered group three to the hospital for their sustained injuries. Peko, having gotten herself hit with the sharp end of a not-so-virtual dragon's claw, had needed to be rushed to get several nasty-looking gashes cleaned and stitched, along with some smaller burns treated. Swords aren't much good against things that can fly and breathe fire, after all.
Some time later, she can be found in the wing tended to by human and humanoid doctors (no androids here, please), seated quietly in one of the beds with her eyes closed as if she's asleep. The heart rate monitor is beeping quietly and steadily, and there's an IV hooked to her right arm to replenish some of the fluid she'd lost from bleeding everywhere earlier. All in all, though, she looks fine! If the ripped and bloody sailor suit in the corner and the fresh white bandages covering her left bicep and peeking out from above the cut of her hospital gown over her chest are any indication. At least the gown is cute, with happy little robots printed in a pattern along the fabric. To promote organic healing, of course!
Before the Cerevice goes down, though, she'll be answering calls with voice and just generally trying to rest and recover in the hospital. She's fine, though, really--!]

[He has to give out the warning, crossing his arms thoughtfully as he does so. He also doesn't want to dwell on Tenka being gone (still, so he's finding it harder and harder to believe he'll be back), so he focuses entirely on the business aspect of things.]
They were not glitches. They were ghosts. Of that I'm certain. [Sousei's not much of an exorcist, no, but he knows a ghost when he sees one--he can tell that much.] But that this has happened to my sense of hearing twice is nonetheless worth being aware of.
no subject
[She was so sure about it... but Sousei's right. This might not be a class trial, but she still can't let herself jump to careless conclusions.]
I have never had anything affect any of my senses, so it's difficult to say. But... I will keep it in mind.
Ah, while you are here... [Since they're on the topic of sharing information, she shifts a little again in bed, turning away for a moment to reach her hand into the neck of her hospital gown. What the heck...
Alright, apparently she'd been hiding a small disc somewhere inside her gown (definitely in her boobs), which she offers to Sousei.]
This is from Jaune Arc. I have not done anything with it myself.
no subject
But...ah. Information. He doesn't even consider where it came from (definitely her boobs), instead accepting it with a grateful arc.]
Arc? [A momentary flash of surprise, and then he shakes his head. Well then. He didn't know he had it in him.] ...This will be useful, thank you.
no subject
You consider him trustworthy?
[Sousei is one of the people she can trust most in this kind of thing, second only to Kuzuryuu himself. If Jaune is worth any of her time at all... certainly he would know.]
no subject
He is immature, prone to delusions of grandeur and fails to listen in most every situation. He certainly struggles with understanding basic refusals. He takes very few things seriously and does not think things through in most every situation.
[a beat]
But yes, I believe he will keep his word, and can be trusted with what is important.
[Another pause, and he amends--]
That said, I would not trust him with secrets, as I do not believe he is capable of filtering what comes out of his mouth.
no subject
I see. I'll keep that in mind.
That said, he is not a bad fighter. His technique is not the most refined, but... he was able to hold his own.
I'll be careful of what I share with him.
no subject
[He looks legitimately interested in that, at least, tilting his head slightly.]
...He has been requesting that I teach him. ["begging" "demanding" "jumping out of bushes to beg more"] He is certainly not lacking in enthusiasm, but that is not enough to become disciplined in the use of a sword.
[So it's...good at least hear Peko's analysis of his fighting abilities. Sousei's still not considering teaching him, because he really doesn't take on personal students that easily, but...well, he's curious.]
no subject
[Never let it be said that Peko isn't honest about anyone's fighting ability (even Kuzuryuu's, after a fashion). But as for Jaune himself...]
He doesn't have the kind of temperament that I would normally associate with a swordsman, and as for his discipline... [she trails off, making a bit of a face. Sousei's definitely right in that, at least. An idiot who can't keep himself confined to his hospital bed to recover, and makes silly drawings in the effort of making one of his teammates feel better... it doesn't seem much like a samurai to her, at all. But even still,]
...But he has the kind of unwillingness to surrender, and strength to leap into combat to protect his comrades, even with his ability, that I would hope for in a fighter.
no subject
It may be worth his while to continue to practice and learn, yes.
[Sousei's not going to take him on though, because Sousei
is stubborndoesn't have the patience for undisciplined people...]There are many ways that he can continue to learn in a place like this.
no subject
But it's really not Peko's concern whether or not Sousei wants to train him, and were her arm uninjured, she'd shrug.]
That is true. If he wants to improve, it is up to him.
[There's more than enough fighters here who are willing to teach people, anyway, what did Sousei do to get him so interested...]
no subject
But that much is true; he nods simply, seeing no need to carry on a conversation that they both already clearly agree upon. Rather--]
I will leave you to your rest, then. Should you require more details about my tour or any others I learn about, contact me.
[Fair's fair; he knows he can trust Peko with the information.]
no subject
[She nods and starts to try moving her pillow down again to resume resting. Before she fully relaxes again, though, she adds a quiet,]
And thank you... for stopping by.
no subject
[He may not be Tenka, no, but....keeping track of everyone and making sure they're all okay is important to him for his own reasons, even. Peko, especially, is someone he understands more than the majority of the people he's met here. That much is enough to look out for her, even if Tenka hadn't adopted her.
Besides, she's impressed him with her poise as well.
But for now, that's too close to Feelings, so he's gonna just turn on his heel after that and go. BYE PEKO.]
