( He sits up a little straighter when Zoro reaches for the sword. It's not so much that Mutsu minds to an extent-- Zoro is a friend and a responsible swordsman but... it's still a very important piece of him. But so is being able to see and hold a sword for Zoro, right?

He holds his breath at the unfamiliar touch and watches quietly. )

... Are ya okay? I know ya can't see me but... ya can still hear me and I can still hear ya if ya wanna talk.

I'm fine. Just frustrated. I don't get why I'm suddenly not able to see swords...or people who are swords, apparently.

[he can definitely talk to Mutsu, though, even if it's weird. Like being actually blind. Except...wait.

It hadn't been an issue when it was objects he couldn't see, but if it's extending to people now, he can do something about that. Closing his good eye, he lets his senses clear so he can use haki. Aha! There's a Mutsu-shaped aura sitting across the table, on the floor. It makes him smirk a bit.]

Maybe it's just my eye, after all.

[Nakigitsune and smallest fox both look at the cake on the counter.

Ah, it looks tasty....fox nudges Naki's face before answering.]

We haven't touched it. Why?

I've been doing just fine so far, yeah?

[A little huff! But okay, the only reason he's doing fine at all is because he eats Haru's food all the time and people are always giving him free meals...]

A-ny-way, it's not like I just dump stuff on him and ask him to do it for me. I watch! [He tries to learn!! The results are sometimes questionable, but an effort is being made...!]

[LOOK... Look, being invisible is awful, okay. The fact that he also seems to be literally disappearing is definitely not helping his anxieties either, so the day has just been Bad and it doesn't seem like it'll be getting better any time soon.

Which is all just a long way of saying that Kashuu quietly approaches while Mutsu is sitting in the center of the living room and pops a bag of chips right behind him.]

[ He's just about ready to dig into one of the slices of cake that sat on the counter, a piece already on the fork, and about to head into the awaiting mouth of the excited little fox. Cake for breakfast. Life in the Swordhaus is amazing. Their master probably wouldn't have condoned such an unhealthy morning meal, but it's cake!

With Mutsu coming into the living area, Kogitsunemaru hesitates. Is Mutsu joking? The cake isn't a lie, it's right here on this plate and the rest of it is still in the kitchen. He can even see it behind the befuddled 'investigator'... ]

... do you want me to put it back, Mutsu-kun?

VALENTINE'S DAY!

[Okay, after that generally terrible time being so Cold and Practically Turning Invisible, Sayo decided to try getting over it via Valentine's.

Because it's Valentine's and he have chocolates he made waiting to give out. And maybe because it's the standard tactic of "distracting himself by doing something else" in response to unhappy things.

So in the afternoon, Sayo is coming over while carrying a bunch of small bags. Inside each of them are chocolates he made during the cooking class and handmade cards he put together with Kousetsu. After he entered the apartments, he would go up to people he knows (mainly fellow swords and Haru, but other friendly CR counts) and hold up a bag to them.]

...Happy Valentine's.

[She looks too, wonder what scene Nakigitsune is watching! He's truly becoming a modern man.]

That is true. I would not want to be in the same situation as those in this story! But here we can learn something.

She pauses for a moment, because really she doesn't get out enough, and the people she's exposed to usually call her cute before something explodes into a giant mess. Their honest came with a price...]

( Well, it's not like he knows Kashuu is disappearing when he's already invisible to Mutsu!!! This is like being haunted by Shinsengumi poltergeist and when he hears the pop... well, he must have jumped three freet into the air before yelling, )

( Ah, Kogitsunemaru! The second suspect on Mutsu's list! Not that he thinks Kogi is a particularly malicious or greedy person but maybe it was an accident? He gets some sort of confirmation from him but... it still doesn't make sense! Put it back? Put what back? There's nothing there? )

What d'ya mean put it back? Are ya hiding it from someone?

[ Why is Mutsu teasing him so much? Was his goal to guilt Kogitsunemaru into not eating it? There's clearly a piece with a note next to it, clearly indicating it was to be saved for the one who brought it home.

Hiding it? Well, if by hiding Mutsu meant eating... but he only wanted one piece. It wouldn't have been fair to eat all of them himself. ]

I only took one slice, I promise. I haven't even taken a bite yet, so you can have it if you want! [ He even holds out the plate! Look Mutsu, here. Take it. ]

( Mutsu looks down at the plate then at Kogitsunemaru. Down at the plate. And at Kogitsunemaru.

He doesn't see anything. There's nothing there. )

Yeah. [he keeps his eye closed for a bit, focusing on knowing exactly where Mutsu is sitting] I couldn't find my swords, I thought someone took 'em. Turns out they're just invisible.

Anything weird like that happen here?

( He nods his head yes. )

A couple of days ago, I started having a hard time seeing too. Just little things at first! Now I can't see Kashuu or Nagasone-san... or Tatsuma-san. ( Frowning, ) And Haru-san and the others... they're always cold and they're startin`... startin` to disappear.

( Which is just as troubling as not being able to see his friends if not more. Sure, he might not have been able to see them but at least he knew they were still around! Disappearing... sounded a lot worse. )
