Vietnam's finally relaxed enough to stop knocking constantly, and comes in with breakfast/lunch/dinner/sometimes all, only because she knows Haru could do with some help! That includes feeding the other visitors too.

One of two things could be happening:]

A

[Vietnam has a giant pot in one hand and her hip, a container of rice noodles stacked on top of a container of beef held by her other arm. On her wrist there's a bag full of greens and herbs. Which means she's attempting to push the door open with her leg.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, she should've put this all in a box and carry it down, but she thought she was going to be fine since it's just one floor. Don't worry, she got this, so your delicious phở broth isn't going to spill everywhere. But some help would be appreciated! But seriously she's been here for how long and I haven't even mentioned this nom aside from her in the taken list.]

B

[She's practically sitting here in your couch, with a bunch of kdrama like things in hand. You know what event's coming up right? Yes it's Valentine's Day. She also knows a few of you losers are stuck in doing Blind Dates.]

Should we start with a classic?

[Lord Have Mercy.]

[But no, there's no mercy, there's only Kashuu... He's curled up on one end of the couch but leans over as soon as Vietnam appears with her bundle of kdrama goodies, clearly curious! He's not as hopeless as some of these other losers, but he's always game for learning... more... about the important things in life.]

A classic? Sure, sure! I guess that's a good place to start.

[ During one evening, Nagasone will be found in the living area of one apartment or the other. His attention on the papers he was flipping through will move as he realizes there's someone there, calling his attention there instead. ]

Do you have a moment? I wanted to ask a few questions. Don't worry, it's nothing heavy.

[ He offers one of his lazy, but reassuring smiles, sitting forward and putting the papers face down on the table, leaning his elbows on his knees so it's more comfortable sitting forward. ]

Dotanuki and I are moving forward on our dojo idea. We're planning to offer it as a place for people to spar and learn how to defend themselves. I wanted to know if there's any input you'd have in something like that.

[HE'S A LITTLE SPOOKED WHEN HE HEARS THAT. "I have some questions" just evokes burnt-smelling memories of microwaves gone by...

But the actual question itself is something that he both A) can deal with and B) finds interesting anyway, so he'll mosey his way over, flopping down onto a seat by the table.]

A dojo, huh? [Holding up a finger!] First, where's it gonna be and how big's the training hall?

A;

[ Kousetsu will one day bring over a few games?! Also he brings with it the system that was apparently Tenka's (with Sousei's permission of course) so there are a few games lying about and Kousetsu will be in front of the TV trying to figure out how it works. What is hooking up electronics. He will eventually get it setup though and the game in question is a spin off of Super Smash Bros. ]

B;

[ And then there is of course tea and sweets. Kousetsu might be practicing making chocolates and things for Valentine's Day?! Because someone signed him up for the blind date thing. So a few days beforehand he will bring over a variety of chocolates and little cakes too. Some of the chocolates are filled with jelly, cream, and even more chocolate. Alongside that the little cakes might be filled with similar things too. Please taste test them to make sure they're good. He might just hand you a few with a solemn expression on his face. ]

...please try these. I am...uncertain if they have come out as they should.

[Jack has been hanging out at the swordhouse for many reasons, the free food definitely being one of the most important ones. However, the idea of a spirit cooking, and with electronic appliances around in the kitchen of all things, is new.

He squints his eyes at what Kousetsu offers, not liking the sound of that. Not one bit.]

What is in those things?

a. early morning, closed to Kashuu

[Souji lets himself inside early in the morning, humming softly under his breath and nodding pleasantly at anyone who might be awake. He makes a detour by the kitchen to put on water for tea, and then pads quietly into the room where Kashuu sleeps.

He has a small bag from a shop with him, and is careful to put it down with the shop name turned to the floor, so as not to give away the contents. Then he sits down next to Kashuu on the bed and gives him a couple of playful little prods, apparently attempting to find out if swords can be ticklish.]

Wake up~. Can't just lie around here all day.

b. later that morning / toward noon, OTA

[Did anyone want to watch TV this morning? Too bad, the sofa has been well and truly occupied. It is now covered by a great wealth of pillows and blankets, with Kashuu and Souji sprawled on it, half lying next to each other. The sofa table is also covered in the detritus of a truly epic breakfast; tea and omelette and croissants and orange juice and waffles, oh my.

The TV appears to be showing... some kind of action movie? Not the coziest backdrop sounds, perhaps, but the sword and his previous master do not seem to mind. In fact, they are laughing and making jokes about the happenings on the screen, so clearly they're having a great time. Every now and again they will reach for a piece of chocolate from a couple of boxes, either to eat it themselves or to... feed it to the other?

Basically, they are horribly embarrassing - even more so because it's Valentine's Day. Are these losers sure they're not dating? Either way, sorry about them.]

[Judging by the way Kashuu squirms away from the prodding and pulls his blankets up farther like some sort of force field, he may indeed be at least a little ticklish...

Either that or he's just wanting to get away from this rude thing that's trying to wake him up!! Not even Souji is an exception when Kashuu's tired and wants to sleep in, okay. Today seems to be one of those days... He's trying to pull the covers back up over his head and everything.]

I'm still tiiired! What time is it even?

[Sorry, Kashuu, Souji isn't giving up so easily. He's used to kicking a serious workaholic out of bed in the mornings, so a bit of crankiness isn't going to deter him even a little bit, no sir.

Letting out a little laugh, he will manfully get in on trying to wrestle Kashuu's blanket away from him, still poking and prodding him whenever possible.]

It's half past seven and the sun is well up. What kind of warrior can't get up early in the morning, huh?

[He may be used to trying to get a serious workaholic out of bed, but is he used to getting an actual five year old out of bed?? Because Kashuu's definitely keeping a death grip on his blanket and kicking like a dang brat...

There may be a little snort of muffled laughter in there somewhere, though. Who isn't ticklish?]

The kind that went to bed super late! [Look, he had a lot of things to do to prepare for this holiday, okay!! It's so cute, he can't risk ruining it... He still needs his usual amount of beauty sleep on top of that, so he quite deserves being able to sleep in until at least 9! He's trying to ball up like a little potato bug with his blanket now.]

Go, go, gimme five more minutes—!

[Most of the time, Souji is the actual five year old, but the kind that is infuriatingly perky and eager in the mornings. So while he might not be used to it, he's totally fine with getting right down on Kashuu's level and kick and wrestle right back at him.

This predictably ends up with him sitting on top of the sword, threatening to pummel him with a pillow and also quite possibly tickle him even more.]

Like I keep telling someone else, it's your own fault if you're up late. [He leans in closer, smiling, and bumps his forehead against Kashuu's.]

Won't you even get up if I say I've got something for you?

[Souji, why. Why do you have to be that kind of five year old!! He's setting up a blanket guard against the potential pillow pummeling and trying to shove him off before he can really find a ticklish spot, because that would just be a catastrophe.]

Is not!! [wow he literally just shaved 555 years off of his age with that one...

He freezes up a little at the forehead bump (he's still a little tetchy about letting even Souji see him before he gets ready for the day, and that is TOO CLOSE--), but... ?!?? A gift?? He pauses mid-defense, eying Souji cautiously like he expects this to be some TRAP LEADING TO TICKLE HELL. That's what he got, isn't it. A one-way ticket to inescapable torture.]

What is it...?

[Souji looks absolutely 100% unrepentant, giggling at how miffed the sword is looking, but at least leaning back a little bit and lowering the pillow. Not that it matters at all! After all, he is a great and fearsome warrior, and won't be caught unawares even by a sulking sword.

...Yeah, they're ridiculous.]

It's a gift for you, of course. This is supposed to be a day for giving people gifts, right?

[Nevermind the context of the day; Souji really doesn't categorize affection like that. Love is love, and it is only really different when it concerns one particular person, so the notion of varying kinds of affection is a bit pointless to him.

Gently ruffling Kashuu's fringe a bit - let's be real, that bed head probably won't get any worse - he offers him a wide, eager smile.]

So, is that a good enough reason to be awake?

[THIS SHIT. Why does he still associate with Souji... Truly a mystery. Once the pillow is lowered, he's at least marginally convinced that death won't be coming for him this morning. The hair ruffle earns him another shove, though... Let him live with the delusion that his hair was actually in a state that could be messed up, and he needs to distract Souji from what's SURELY AN EMBARRASSING EXPRESSION anyway--

But he can't help it, because he's really taken by surprise to hear that. He had prepared gifts of his own, of course, but hoping and expecting for things in return are very different. It's a nice way to wake up... Maybe he can sacrifice a couple hours of extra sleep after all.]

Hey... It's not fair if you get up super early and beat me like that, y'know? I was gonna wait until later, but now you'll just have to get your gift early, too.

[The "so there" is palpable... So is his fluster.]

[Excuse you, Kashuu, what did you say? Did you just say that Souji totally wins this battle? Yeah, that's what he thought. Smiling the sweetest, most placid little smile imaginable - the smugness is almost tangible - he elegantly slips to the side so that he's perched next to Kashuu in bed instead, giving him a chance to sit up.]

That's alright. Oh, I've got tea on in the kitchen too, and I've planned a nice breakfast.

[He leans down, slipping a small box out of the bag and then gently toeing it aside. Beaming as if someone has wired a thousand volts into him and fitted him with an industrial light bulb, he holds the box toward Kashuu with both hands, lowering his his head in a graceful bow.]

It's a small thing compared to our friendship, but I hope you will accept this.

[Inside, Kashuu will find a simple but elegant necklace, complete with the most platonic design imaginable. Look, this is what you get if you look for something cute and red right before Valentine's Day...]

[Totally was coming over to drop off a few things before heading back to work. Her mouth was slightly opened, as if she was ready to call out to them and say how she was going to drop off some freebies.

Ah, she has stumbled upon one of the holy grails of Valentine's Day: actual cheesy moment. Souji and Kashuu, eh?

WALKS BACKS OUT. S-SHE'LL GIVE THEM SPACE goodness, it must've been all that Kdrama. Nice.]

[Kashuu's future is kdrama. He's even like a protagonist, really. Just as dramatic...]

Alright! [She now takes out two!] A comedy, or a tragic romance?

[ That's comforting, really. Knowing Kashuu isn't scared of talking to him from what happened before? It was a good thing. He leaned back, watching him move and waved his hand. ]

We're trying to find a place the oodachi's wouldn't be worried about practicing in. We're still finalizing that, but having a place that isn't in that game will be useful to us.

[Considering that she's seen him in situations such as a MACHO CAFE, seeing him with paper work reminds her that he is definitely a commander's sword. Seeing that, she had gone to get him a cup of tea, which is what she returns with, ready to put it down on the table.]

I do have a moment. [She sets the tea down.] And that is for you.

But ah, Dotanuki mentioned this recently. I wish you luck on this idea, Nagasone! I am interested in it myself. [She remembered when he spoke of it before, asking for other] This is a place you want for physical battles, no? Outside of the game. I am certain many would be interested. There are some around who are also skilled in weapons other than swords, if that could help? I do remember your idea was a sword school, primarily.

[LOOK... it isn't untrue.

Anyway STARING AT THE TWO and humming in consideration... After a few seconds:]

Comedy sounds better but I'll leave it to you since you're the expert and all.

[Vietnam: K-drama expert. She sure has reached great heights.]

[Of course!! Nagasone is still Nagasone after all, even if tripping onto his interrogating side had been an experience he doesn't want to repeat any time soon.]

A big place would be suuuper nice. There's that little dojo in the gym, y'know, but it's kinda small... You can't really fit more than a handful of people in there for a class.

[He's made do, but he misses having an actual training hall.]

You're waaay ahead of me, huh?

[He's gonna punch that insufferably smug face one day, okay...

BUT FOR NOW, he just pushes himself upright when Souji shifts away, leaning over to watch as he extracts the box. ?!?? WHAT'S IN IT. He's so curious... And Souji looks so dang pleased about it that there's really no pause at all between being presented with said box and reaching out to take it and--

Oh no, it's cute.

What's up with people giving him cute gifts lately?! He can't handle this!! He also 100% does not care that they're already nyooming off into the land of turboembarrassment; he's too Touched™ for that. The necklace is very carefully removed from its box, and he holds it by the pendant in the palm of one hand, looking it over with a surprised sort of admiration.]

You got this for me...? [For someone who's always yodeling about wanting to be decorated nicely, he sure is useless when it comes to actually receiving nice things.]

[Souji is watching so eagerly as Kashuu opens the box, actually bouncing up and down on the bed in excitement. There is nothing he loves quite so much as surprising his friends and loved ones in nice ways, and Kashuu is the kind of person who more or less cries out to be spoiled - sometimes quite literally. And maybe he is also especially eager to do so, hoping in some way to make up for... a lot of things.

Still, the wide-eyed look on Kashuu's face as he stares at the pendant calms him down a little bit, his smile more serene but no less bright.]

I did. I tried to find something cute enough, but still with the bold red you like so much.

[Souji is happy enough to provide more fuel on their journey to turboembarrassment, so he reaches out an clasps his hands around the wrist of the hand holding the necklace, making a soft little sound.]

Would you like me to help you put it on?

[It sure seems like he knows exactly what to do by way of spoiling, at least...! As the surprise fades, Kashuu seems increasingly delighted by the gift, gently touching the pendant's chain with his free hand. That it's cute is one thing, but what really gets him is that Souji had spend time looking specifically for something that he knew Kashuu might like, from design to color.

He looks up when his wrist is touched, and there's only a second's pause before he nods and holds the necklace out.]

—Yeah, thanks.

[Self-conscious again, he pulls his hair to the side and runs his fingers through it to detangle it while he waits, head dipped just a little so it's easier to clasp the necklace shut.]

[She's wondering what he's doing, holding so many cords in front of him.]

Kousetsu, do you want to play video games?
